This year I was thinking of attending EVO. I have never been to las vegas before and the complaints about the final day being held off site sounds pretty unappealing

More succinctly, I am not a terribly well traveled person and getting lost around going to multiple places sounds pretty daunting to me.

Las Vegas is a city designed expressly for tourism. It was made to be navigable by the drunk and elderly. So long as you speak any degree of English and have disposable income you'll be fine.

It's really not a big deal. The Vegas Strip is really straightforward and there will be hundreds of other manchildren around to flock with.

In past years you could easily sneak in booze; hell I was just sipping on one of those eiffel tower drinks during 2014 while watching top 8 for street fighter. Even if you couldn't have any alcohol during Sunday finals, nothing's stopping you from getting shitfaced less than a block away.

Also getting around is really easy once you're at the venue, specially if you're staying at the "official" hotel. You can't miss the hundreds of FGC people that will be around and you can ask if you're still lost.
