He was a lame duck Republican nominee in a seat the Dems were expected to take quite easily. So much of a lame duck he recieved a grand total of $500 in funding from the party. His total fundraising for the entire election including that ended up being $780. And then somehow he won and the local Republicans aren't sure what to do with him as he pushes for such things as letting foster homes have guns.
