How have I never heard of this. Holy poo poo.

The story is that the actress was SO bad that the director told Barrowman to just improv to try and get some kind of stunned or breathless reaction out of her, and they would just cut it so it looked like he said the scripted line... and then they kept the improv line in the final edit.

Yeah, I think people liked the performance. Not because it was Barrowman.

Like Felicity.

He was genuinely very good in season 1. That scene where he admits that he thinks all the poor people in Star City deserve to die because they let his wife die is just the right kind of big. It fits the stakes of the moment and the tone of the show.
Since then he's kind of just been John Barrowman smarming his way through scenes. Which is fun to watch, certainly, but I'm not sure it works.

Yeah I figured the Venn diagram of Who fans and comic fans had a fair amount of overlap which is why I referred to him as a popular actor.

CONVICTED OF DISPLAYING HIS PEANUTS IN PUBLIC
Legends was a good example tonight of the kind of writing issues the DC shows are having. The rift between Stein and Jefferson makes perfect sense, when summed up. Jeff resents Stein telling him what to do when his body is on the line. But the execution was rear end backward because it was Jeff who constantly took dumb risks because he didn't like being bossed around. The blow up almost made sense, when he brought up his mom, but the "I am the one taking the hits" thing that they repeated TWICE didn't make sense, because in both cases, it was Jeff, not Stein that chose to put himself in unnecessary danger with Stein asking for caution. It was a weird disconnect and something that an undergrad intro to writing class probably would have caught.

Holy poo poo. Love the reveal at the end.

Apparently this version of Punisher really enjoys shotguns.

Also, anyone else notice the Daredevil mask (maybe costume too) is different in a few scenes from around the middle to the end?

I know I'm late but I'm watching Jessica Jones. It's really weird seeing things that were assumed as common knowledge in the original comic being treated like big mysteries. Oh, word, Luke Cage has powers?

Pretty good show though.

You'll have to clue me in then. I mean for a second there I was like "oh poo poo that's the real Jay Garrick and the one we've been seeing all season is a shapeshifter/evil doppelganger!" but then Jay never did anything that seemed particularly shifty and he got a vibro-hand through the chest which would seem to rule out him working for Zoom...
