hardcore is stupid bullshit

While I have some favorite hardcore bands, I'll agree that it's like 98% awful with one of the worst sub-cultures. I miss having Mitch Clem around to call hardcore crowds violent children and all of the responses would be "gently caress you you oversensitive pussy, I'll kill you irl for that comment."

They really need to lay off the crack. They were the first band that I saw live (in 1997) that really turned me onto music that wasn't the garbage industrial stuff that I was into. I ended seeing them a dozen or so times and they were always one of the best live bands.

Would a Jeff Rosenstock solo acoustic show be worth seeing? On one hand it wouldn't have the energy of a full band electric show, but on the other some of my favorite Bomb songs are the more intimate ones.

I say do it, it's probably cheap and Jeff's a cool guy to meet

i saw him acoustic once. it was fun and he knows how to work a crowd, takes lots of requests. at the end a couple of the other BTMI guys came out and joined him. if you're a fan i'd say go.

Yikes. I stopped paying attention to Mars Volta after Bedlam in Goliath was released - I still enjoy revisiting early TMV albums, but that is terrible.

Having said that, I'm definitely getting tickets to the reunion tour. They shaped my musical tastes when I was in middle school in 2000, and I can't help but want to see them live, even if it's a trainwreck and their new music sucks.

I've never been to a music festival, and it's usually because the few bands on the bill that I really want to see tour together anyway.

So yeah, I guess this is no exception.

i never liked festivals either, playing or watching. I always feel like you dont really get to see that band, everytime I have seen a band play a fest then see a regular show - the regular show blows it out of the water.

Personally playing them, i know how anxious and rushed you are so i totally understand how it can be distracting.

POSTING IN TFR = DONT ASK DONT TELL AM I RITE?
So my band SHIPS DOWN. Finally released something. Took a long time to put it all together and we are finally at the stage to start gigging and releasing music.

If you wouldn't mind then giving a listen to our demo teaser trailer! Only a rough mix and mostly the uninteresting parts of the songs.

Big influences are A Wilhelm Scream, Strike Anywhere, Rise Against and No Trigger.

In the full demo there is one of my face melting bass solos!

Our facebook page also features artwork from SA's very own Mr. Frustration Man. Artwork was subject to this SA Buy thread.

This sounds to me like Joey Cape mixed with the System of a Down guy doing Coheed and Cambria, and it's well done. Not exactly my immediate favorite, but somebody will definitely love this.
