Just like the vast majority of Arabs everywhere outside the Arabian peninsula. The early Islamic conquests didn't involve wholesale massacres and uprooting of indigenous populations anywhere else; why is Palestine the special case?

In her defense, when I go back to my home country, I get my full accent back in a matter of days. I sound a bit American to them the first few days, but you really do get back into the swing of things. I wouldn't find it that absurd a notion to think she's picking up on the accent again upon returning. Especially if some aspects of the accent are more 'lazy' like not enunciating as much or opening the mouth as wide. It's easy to go back to that lazy way of speaking. Linguists have observed that people who have taken to more than one dialect in life, will naturally slip into the accent that people are using around them, but good luck explaining that to someone who is proudly just looking for more reasons to hate her.
