Yeah great HH today, plus it looks like they actually did record it in Brett's house.

Sean criticizing racism and lovely comedy and various other tropes may be my favorite part of the show, just right behind the rest of it.

I'm seeing him tonight with his old improv group that was on yesterday's High and Mighty. He was a literal beast during the Power Hour live episode. I sat behind his in-laws while he joked about loving their daughter and her mom did not look pleased.

I'm not a regular listener but the blurb for the Poltergeist epi mentions Spielberg thrice and Hooper not once... do they talk about who really directed that film?

Yes, they specifically go into how much input Spielberg had, at least on the days the guest was on set. I don't know how familiar you are with Gourley but he's way too big a movie nerd to not ask about that. The same guy was Spielberg's PA on Raiders though, so this one goes into a lot more detail / weird stories. Illinois Smith fucked around with this message at 16:13 on Feb 18, 2016 |

Has anyone listened to Longest Shortest Time? I'm not sure where the audience for that is supposed to be coming from. (Also jus being pedantic but the With Specal Guest Episode's based on Room)

Power of Pecota posted:Has anyone listened to Longest Shortest Time? I'm not sure where the audience for that is supposed to be coming from. It's an established show from WNYC Public Radio that was cancelled a few months ago, and Earwolf picked it up. I suppose it's bringing in its own audience. Whoever cut that promo that they're running on other Earwolf shows maybe should've taken another pass at it, though. "It's a parenting show where we talk about the challenges and rewards of raising children; Now, here's 3 clips where all we talk about is sex, including a kid saying 'sex' a lot in a sing-song voice. This is appealing, right?" Anybody else notice that this week's I4H pretty much did the "Mr. Nice Guy" bit from a few episodes back again with the scene featuring the guy going to court? I supposed a lot of improv scenes hit the same basic beats but "Everybody else escalating the straight man" feels especially formulaic. Came back strong with "Attitude Apparel" at the end, though, that had me in hysterics.

The one thing that appeals to me is listening to middle aged people talk about how regular and , honestly , kind of funny sex is. Ordinarily you think sex is great but when you get some years and a little maturity you honestly realize it's pretty silly and hilarious if you look at it the right way.

Which was sad since Pauly is such a fun improviser. Also, apparently Deadpool is the guest on this week's HH. I haven't listened yet but I'm scared. His mouth is more like a toilet bowl than the super bowl.
