Has a kid ever actually asked for a generic football or basketball in the past 40 or so years? That's always seemed like more of a parent idea. Kids would ask for a naturally spiraling nerf football with a tail or a Michael Jordan basketball with light up stitching or something else they saw in a commercial even back in the 80s or 90s Even with bikes kids were super brand conscious when I was a kid
