Well hang on, let's be fair. There's a difference between poor dweebs - Gameboy tier; middle class folks - Genesis or SNES tier; and Richie Rich, Making Bernie Sanders Turn Over In His Grave Decades From Now - Game Gear and batteries tier.

If he was born in 1993, depending on how old that kid is, he could be asking for anything from a PS1 to an Xbox.

Yeah, that's a perfectly fine range to be asking for a Game Boy given that it's a Color. A 1993 kid would've been seven when Pokemon Gold and Silver came out, and what were they gonna want a GBC for if not that?

There must be a cutoff between the insufferable opinions of "the 90s were the best" and "life was cooler back when rock music meant something". Probably about 1997.

There was a show in the early 90s in the UK, I'll spare the details, but essentially a kid got a prize at the end, which was always a choice of a Sega Genesis or a mountain bike. I think only one kid ever chose the mountain bike. Edit: I seriously doubt a kid would be allowed to get those ear things while they're still growing. That would gently caress up their ears for life. I think that's just a brand name headphones thing. I was given a pair of bose sound cancelling headphones and the person who gave them to me made a huge deal about how bose was the best. The sound cancelling poo poo wore off and broke in less than a year so I could just hear people a room away talking through them. It didn't take long for the cord to gently caress up and the left ear to go out unless I was sitting like an owl too. I never seem to run into this kind of issue if I'm using a cheap rear end pair of headphones.

King Naram Sin of Chaldea, 3800 years B.C., We have fallen upon evil times and the world has waxed very old and wicked. Politics are very corrupt. Children are no longer respectful to their parents. I bet somewhere there's a cave painting showing kids with their lazy spears and pit traps unlike the good old days Edit: huh on some googling it looks like that quote was made up around 1908 or something. Still shows people have been saying this poo poo forever though. Darkhold has a new favorite as of 10:21 on Feb 20, 2016 |

Scarf posted:Regardless of when they're born, kids are little assholes that want the most expensive and popular thing. I always find feminism to be a large scale representation of the relationship between a man and a woman when married/or in a relationship. Feminism keeps poo poo testing men more and more by pushing the goal posts of what they desire, much like in a marriage. A woman also tries to change a man when she is married to him. She will try to get him to talk about his feelings and generally soften him up, coercing him to express more feminine traits. Then of course the attraction plummets because he is no longer the man she fell in love with. The exact same thing is happening on a mass scale in the West, women are constantly complaining and feminising men, changing them into their idea of what men should be. Now, they are no longer attracted to us, because we have become weak, and we treat our women like princesses, we literally allow them to get away with blue blooded murder. They have castrated us. And worse than that, we have just allowed mass scale immigration to occur, which is akin to being in a sex less marriage and introducing your wife to your friend Alpha Chad. WHAT THE gently caress DID WE EXPECT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!
