I've had two blue on blue battles, anyone had any red on reds?

I wish you could keep titles earned thru Splatfests. Wouldn't mind remaining a burger queen forever.

I think Red leads in popularity, but it's much closer than usual.

Well, I reached the title of Pokemon Red King. So that means I won the Splatoon. Good night.

Taking a break right now before powering through half of Defender and all of Champion, but so far I've had enjoyment using a gimmick of only using various blasters and miniguns (even the Rapid Blaster Pro Deco, which I forgot was even a thing that existed) for Team Blue. The fact that I've been having so much fun with it makes me think I should try to challenge myself to play with specific weapons more often, even if only to stop myself from using Sloshing Machine or Blaster 80% of the time.

Man, I'm rusty, barely getting to Defender right now. Wish they would've picked a darker pink for Red team...

Well, that's all she wrote. After I hit champ, I took an hour-long break and then went back to it. I managed to hook up with another good team, and I fought with them until connection issues forced us apart. I was about 30 points away from queen, and from there I just sort of bounced around teams until my last match. I was at 98/99 points, and I really wanted to hit queen on a win. Luckily, I got on a solid crew and we tore it up. I had a handful of losses getting from champ to queen, but otherwise I was kicking more rear end than I did getting from defender to champ. The N-ZAP 89 was a good choice for these maps. It's a great weapon, so long as you understand when you're outgunned. Also, I think I'm starting to understand Ancho-V. It's all about getting a foothold in their spawn as soon as you can and hoping your teammates catch up with you.

Yeah, I have had some absolutely horrible teams on the Red side, so I wouldn't be surprised if Blue won. Sometimes my teammates are all just clumped together in one small section of the map that is mostly covered, and if they are with me they are shooting exactly where I am shooting.

I just played to king for team blue on my account and played to queen for team red. I was regularly getting 9+ round streaks working for team blue but the most I managed for team red was maybe 5 and it was rare. It took way longer playing for team red. I can't imagine blue not winning.

Take solace in the fact that you get shells either way. The winning team just gets six more. Also, apparently team red did well in Japan, so there's that.

I'm not sure I can call this one. I had some good teams, some bad ones. Won most, lost some. Had a couple red/red matches, but apparently blue did too. Usually it's pretty clear which team is Team Little Kid but it's not so clear this time. Also, do kids even care? Like, they were still a decade from being born. I'm surprised they didn't pick a more recent set of games.

Australia/EU reporting in for Team Blue Like holy moly Team Red, you guys were terrible 37 matches against Team Red, 37 straight wins, all the way to Queen, with no losses. Total destruction. Not even one match where I thought, "oh no they might win this one". I even had one match on Hammerhead where we were one squid down (the other team should have seen and capitalized on it) but we still managed to spawncamp them for two minutes. Highlights: - I had a Level 26 .96 Gal Deco with me for almost half of my matches before I lost connection to the team. I had my fair share of splats but this squid was a monster; if I saw that she'd manage to make it to the bad guys' spawn, I'd just go and ink up the rest of the map at my leisure cause no one gets through her. She also drops Splash Walls to cover my Super Jumps and when I'd get snuck up on and splatted, I'd call for help and look down at my map to watch her chase down the bad guy and avenge me. Absolute legend. - From the looks of it, Chargers are pretty rare in the Australia/EU region, and skill even rarer; only had two matches against Splatterscopes and two matches against 3Ks and they were all brain dead; standing out in the open, scoped in for long periods of time, not inking Turf to cut off escape routes or for area denial, and bloody terrible shots to top it off. The few that did show up on my team were decent but if I was on Team Red and a Charger was on my team, I'd be worried.

Speaking of blackbelly skatepark, something just occurred to me: what actually is the point of the tower in the middle? It looks like it's too steep to get up it with a skateboard, and if you try to go down it, you'd end up smacking into a wall.

I honestly don't see too many snipers on it these days. They usually camp the ledge at the end of the halfpipe, making them a hell of a lot tougher to deal with. The tower's a good position for sloshers, though.

Not sure what my teammates were doing. I had many teams that were terrible. I normally play this game just to chill and have fun, but many of my teams were so bad that they ruined my chill. I did have wins on Ancho-V Games and Triggerfish where the other team got less than 10%, but I can probably count my wins in the skatepark on one hand.

Yeah, don't Charger from here unless your team has pushed the Bad Guys back and you want to cover the other halfpipe. Like Cialis Railman mentioned, you're best spot is the ledge at the end of your own halfpipe, because it lets you control a ton of territory from a safe spot.

Also on red, also have had bad teammates, though it also seems like at least every other match I have a disconnection on my team which of course means a big old loss. I've been playing the splatterscope which I'm decent with but not great, and ending up with like 9-2 k/d ratios and 800-900 turf inked and we're losing every time. =/

On one red team I had, some rear end stood at the spawn and moved just enough to make me think he couldn't figure out the controls. Another rear end helpfully put beacons around the spawn. I scored over 1000 points that round and we still got our poo poo kicked in. Mm Congratulations to team blue for their preemptive win.

I think the best team I was on was with a New Squiffer, E-liter 3K Scope, Lunar Blaster Neo and me as the Splat Roller. Some how the Blaster always got the most turf and I got the most splats. The two chargers also took the time to paint turf. I think this has been the most even Splatfest. There have been a lot of close matches and no Blue vs Blue for me. Wish more Splatfest were like this.
