status update: after 1 week the Touch ID thingy home button broke and I had to get a new phone.

stopped into t mobile and a quick replacement

ipad pro seems to have a better feel, less latency and less parallax than cintiqs.

BUT it doesn't have hotkeys and only runs mobile apps and no real Photoshop (yet).

it's miles better hardware than the cintiq HD

astropad works great for photoshop but tilt/pressure needs to be supported on a per-app basis iirc so zbrush for example isn't quite as well supported
