I used the Model Air UK Ext Dark Sea Gray, USAF Light Grey and Yellow as well as Game Colour Chainmail. I also used the Vallejo Grey model wash. In terms of process I did a base coat of the Dark Sea Grey, then I picked out some of the sections that connect the pod to the wings to paint in chain mail. I painted all the light sections in the USAF Light Grey leaving a line of dark grey between sections. The canopy windows got painted yellow and then the whole thing was hit with the grey wash. After that I went over the light grey and yellow sections again and that was it. I like it because the grey is a little bit warm rather than the standard cold grey of the factory paint jobs and it is also the same grey used on fighter jets.

I just back from weekly causual play. Tonight I felt like doing more silly lists with ships I don't usually fly. The first game I flew Vader (With the title and advanced targeting) with Canor Jax and Omega Ace. My opponent had two Scks and a bot. I inched Canor along (with 2 forward twice in a row) while I tried to get the other two to flank, but sadly I mis-calculated what I thought was a turn (I should have just rushed). He went down quickly. I did some pretty nasty damage to the IG with OA's special abillity, and reduced it down to one hull but Vader went. At that point it was pretty hopeless for the Omega to win by himself. He didn't get a chance to finish off the IG even before going down (though he was close). The second game I switched to rebels and played a decked out Han (Chewie and Luke on the Flacon with a Hull upgrade) with Jan Ors (on the moldy crow with a TLT)with Nein Num. My opponent were bro-bots (B&C I believe). It was pretty great being able to on the first turn go 4 foreward and have it a green, so no stress. I got a boosted shot with Jan's abillity and did quite a bit of damage quickly to one of the Bots with focus fire and eventually brought it down, and lost Jan. So it was down to a fully shielded Han vs. the remaining bot which had no shields left. We exchanged shots, but eventually we got a bit seperated with me trying to chase the bot down. Then we kept running to each other, both doing a green and then K-turning right back into each other again, like twice in a row. We ran out of time, and we each reduced our ships to below half, and I won on points,. 75-49. The list ran a bit better than I expected, though I'm not really planning on using in tournaments or anything.

I absolutely love the Imperial logo. One thing I've had a lot of success with when painting yellow is to use yellow inks over a white base. Obviously your work looks really awesome, but if you were interested you might want to give that a shot to make the cockpit pop out even more.

It probably should more like 5 points and you can't attack either that turn. Even higher cost (7-9?) if you can. Also, what does STAW stand for? "___ this and win"?

I wonder if it should be 3 points instead of 4. Still..that's a really fun ability. I could see it being Scum or Imperial only, depending on the flavor. It'd probably be some hacking thing for Scum, or an intelligence/spy thing like Intel Agent if Imperial.

The Gate posted:Should have come to GA and played. My back agrees with you. Playing over shorter tables is brutal on my old-man-body. Store league tonight was an unfun slog. First game was against Ten Numb with Mangler and VI, Jake with PTL, VI, Prockets, and Autothrusters, and Jan Ors with TLT. 100-26 in my favor. Wasn't fun because he kept measuring barrel rolls and boosts and then not doing them, with a PS9 A-Wing. Like, dude, if I let you take back every maneuver you try to do, you will dodge arc most times, yeah. Gonna need you to actually do the action when you measure for it. That's the rules. On the one hand I feel bad because I'm not "flying casual," but on the other, it's like, seriously, man. You're PS9 with discretionary BRolls and Boosts and I have initiative. I'm not letting you measure every possible permutation to dodge every arc from here until eternity. Second game was against Han + Poe in what was almost assuredly a counter-pick. He'd been running BBBBZ all store league, and won the last store championship at GT with BBBBZ, and then when he found out we were playing tonight he switched to a PWT + ace. :/ Like, I guess, if you want to be That Guy, I don't have a ton of room to counter-argue, but I've never deliberately changed my list to tailor it against a specific guy. I guess this maybe gets into "scrubs complain, play to win." It just felt like a bad time. Which it was! He started out rolling incredibly hot, crippling the shuttle and stripping shields off my aces with a ton of unmodified full-hit rolls, but POW roared back with a clutch 7-damage turn on Han Solo to make him think twice about loving with Whisper. He tried to run and got gunned down, but not until the shuttle was dead and both OLeader and Whisper were at 1 hull each against Poe (who had R5-P9 of course). SLoop and him rocking Poe won me the game, but it didn't feel very good at any point. 100-32. So now I'm at 5-0 in the store league, with my last opponent favoring Brobots, a matchup I'm very confident in. Probably we 6-0 this league as well, bringing our total league record at Atomic Empire to at least 9-0 (current) and possibly 10-0 (if I win my last league game). If I win consecutive leagues, I'm going to put it to SA and Skype to vote on my next list, from a small pool of choices. Hopefully Wave 8 is out by then. guts and bolts fucked around with this message at 04:15 on Feb 24, 2016 |

I actually have 2 of these, so I won't list them. Not sure which one of these I like better. Dash w/PTL & Kyle Katarn or Dash w/ Lone Wolf & Recon Spec

After playing a bunch of generic ships, I think I've settle on AC TIE Advanced as my favorite. Bulky-ish, guaranteed dice mods on generics, decently maneuverability, and awesome blockers. I had decent-ish (more than I should have) success with 3x AC with 35 Vader, but that seems like a stupid list since literally everyone is going to go for Vader first. We can switch to Fel who is better at flying like a complete coward, but I'm not sure that's a good list or plan either. We want to run them with something that is going to force the opponent to either start slowly picking off the ACs, or force them to chase around some target that's going to take a while to die while the ACs slowly take them apart. Vader was surprisingly good at this, Fel might be better. Maybe LW Vader is the best option? Three shooting seems to be the right critical mass to actually get decent damage output, but I'm not sure what to take with 3. There are 37 points to spare. Carnor Jax seems like a reasonable option? Those guarantted 6 reds coming in every turn are much scarier when you can't action your way out of them. poo poo, we could always take 4 and Dark Curse I guess. Taking less than 3 means taking 2, which means we're directly competing with whisper which is probably hard to justify, or one, which might be a decent blocker? At 21 we can take: 21 AC Advanced 21 AC Advanced 26 OL 31 Inquisitor (PtL, title, AT) Taking a single one at 21 as a blocker that will literally be the last thing anyone ever shoots at also seems like a decent choice, but there are too many options to even bother listing one. I was originally thinking stress kath + advanced, since ships taking re-maneuvering actions to get out of range 2 won't have as many actions to reduce AC damage, but you can't fit 3 + naked kath. 3 + generic firespray with tactician has two points to spare, but seems questionable. Anyone have suggestions for how to get some stress control Imp lists with AC Advanced using stuff up to wave 8, or just general ideas for how to best use them?

The ones I lost were against brobots (my first actual game against brobots, too. At least I went 25-100 against that guy, which is better than others did against him ) and a double-hellbus build featuring Bossk and Moralo. (This one was close; I only lost because of a devastating turn where my Bossk was practically felled in one go, and my Zs couldn't quite cut it against his Bossk. I went 50-100 during this game) However I did beat a list featuring Xizor, Guri and two Zs, along with another list which consisted of Arvel (who I managed to take out with a feedback array on the Z he was in a 1v1 against, seeing as my Z was unable to get a shot off due to forced collisions by Arvel), Keyan and a stresshog. The latter was being recorded, so I'll post that whenever it gets uploaded. (it was also against the guy who cost me first place at my first tourney, so I consider it to be a moral victory of sorts, heh) Major Isoor fucked around with this message at 08:12 on Feb 24, 2016 |

I've played PTL Dash several times and I've never ever been donut holed when I didn't want to be. I can't speak to Han as I've always preferred Dash and his janky obstacle maneuvers, but I've been thinking of putting Miranda with Dash since Corran really doesn't match my playstyle.
