His official name is FN-2199 I believe. You'd think with dumb "wordplay" names like Grievous and Plagueis TR-8R would be a slam dunk.

FN is Finn. The Spin Doctor of The First Order doesn't have an official call sign but the Internet started calling him TR-8R because it sounds like his one line.

Finn was FN-2187. Apparently TR-8R is officially FN-2199.

This saddens me greatly.

This is actually a nice touch, since it suggests they are from the same batch of recruits and grew up together.

A young adult novel that has some background stories of the characters show that this is in fact the case. They were on a four-man team together, no less.

A four man group... of Janitors?

Finn said he was a janitor. In the movie. To Han.

Technically he said "sanitation". Grunts can still be made to do bitch work.

I figure "sanitation" was a euphemism for "stormtrooper," since they, you know, sanitize settlements and such.

Naw, he was literally a garbage-man. I think we can assume most storm troopers have on-base duties apart from being infantry.

The empire doesn't strike me as the type to bother with euphemisms anyway.

I mean, they use names like "Death Star" and "Starkiller" for crying out loud.

When a soldier is assigned to guard an airfield, it doesn't magically turn them into an aircraft maintainer.

Finn was a stormtrooper assigned to sanitation.

You honestly believe they'd invest the time and energy and resources to kidnap children and train them up to be garbagemen?

edit: unless you meant garbage (guard) duty, in which case: :agreed:

That's cosplay of Mangle from Five Nights as Freddie's. There really isn't much like turning a blind corner and coming face to face with that costume. Especially after drinking.

That was my guess but I wasn't sure. The axe seemed ludicrously big, the only other character that comes to mind using an axe that big is Barbara from Rayman Legends.
