You can probably slot a knight into a warlord, but that's the kind of rich folk fuckery that burns money in front of the poor. Also, good points on Dreadknight both making sense and being a bad model. Nobody ever complained about Penitent Engine beinv open cockpit, though in its case the death of the pilot was desireable.

I would buy into that narrative you are forging (quite well actually, bravo sir!) if the giant robot had giant melee weapons instead of guns for arms. Or was trying to kill a daemon by swinging a boat at it'd face.

Then there's the "we got lazy" approach: And the "could you tell me again what an eldars is?" approach:  I don't even know where they came up with the design for that second one, not even Shining Spears have collars like that.
