Also if Davis wanted a night off perhaps they could bring him in.

What the gently caress is going on with Dragon's Den? Are they showing programmes fortnightly now?

That kid can gently caress off.

Woah, I always thought it was some twee as gently caress show for middle aged ladies. My mum's friends are always going on about it. And the latest misery porn books they've been reading. I thought last night's Benidorm was the last one, but apparently it's been renewed for two more seasons. It's really gone downhill. ITV are terrible at comedy and will run poo poo into the ground like no other channel. Let's not forget what TV Burp was like at the end.

I went on a hen party in Benidorm once so I have a weird fondness for the place.

Yep, I also enjoyed Fresh Meat. It was probably good that they took time off for a while, there seemed to be a lot of talk about it going a bit stale during the last season, but it didn't feel that way at all. I also admit that I didn't really remember how season 3 left the characters off.

I've recently been getting into Gary: Tank Commander as its on Netflix, and it's pretty good. I assume this was on BBC Scotland so that's why I never saw it when it came out? So it's weird to see Greg McHugh go from tanned, camp, cheerful Scot in that to dour, nerdy and slovenly Scot in Fresh Meat. Still, that's acting I suppose.

Yeah, it was huge here for a while. It's alright. Surprised it was made by The Comedy Unit yet didn't have any of the TCU mainstays.

After he said he didn't want to write anymore Pemberton offered to help out, but then Pemberton left the show later on anyway. I've not seen any of the recent ones. I liked the earlier ones though, it was fun understated comedy, like 'The Smoking Room'.

Series one and about half of series 2 were great. The backend of S2 was a bit weak. Series three was a half-assed lovely drama based on the previous two seasons. It was jarring and awful.

I know there's threads for both of the things I'm about to mention but the US is way ahead and I don't want enormous spoilers. First the X Files. It's a bit wank. It feels sort of like fanfiction. In fact no - it feels like the episode of the Simpsons that Mulder and Scully are in. There's something faintly off about it, maybe it's that things tend to happen really loving fast and characters are totally changing in the course of an episode or two. The gravitas of it is somehow gone. Doesn't help that it's on Channel 5 and even though I can fast forward through the adverts it feels like there's loving loads of them. Also it's cool to see the Shannara Chronicles on TV. Strange that they're starting on the second book but I really liked those books when I was a kid and it's fun to see them on TV. Once again though it's on loving channel 5 so not only is it packed with adverts it isn't even in HD! It's fun to see something like that on TV though, I never thought I would. There's a paticular scene around half way through the book that I'd always wanted to see done in film or TV and I hope they do it justice. Being a kid I was really scared by it. Everyone's a little too pretty and teenagery I guess but Johnathan Rhys Meyers is there! Taear fucked around with this message at 05:08 on Feb 26, 2016 |

I thought the new Mid Morning Matters were a bit strange. I felt like they could have been a lot better, but I suppose there is only so much you can do with a series where the set doesn't change. I definitely think shorter episodes worked a lot better. It disturbs me a great deal that Steve Coogan is now Alan's age.
