They mentioned holding off on him for starters, but didn't say he wouldn't show up. And of course Dan, who is probably the pink ninja or something.

So trying to actually learn this game, and I wanted a way to improve myself whilst I'm away from the computer. Figured memorizing frame data (mostly what moves can be punished upon block) via a flashcard app would be good way to do it. I started making gifs of attacks: Album with Cammy's ground normals: http://imgur.com/a/OptTq The loop stops at the point where Ryu can start moving. Figured this is the amount of the animation you'd see when blocking before figuring out how to react. Then I took these and made flashcards. If I actually finish making them I'd want to just make it available for everyone, but I wish there was a decent flashcard app that supported animated gifs and was easy to access for everyone. Anki is mostly there except its phone version cost 25 dollars for some reason. I'm still somewhat new to fighting games (well, actually trying to get good at them) so if anyone has any input on what type of flashcards would be useful, let me know.

I've also been practicing CC HK dash MP cr.MK xx HK LL to get a good whiffed reversal punish. Finding it hard as butt to link the mp after dash. Does the frame buffer stick around after a dash or does it disappear like when you walk? e: ey it's getting easier the timing just seems a little off at first fozzy fosbourne fucked around with this message at 07:15 on Feb 26, 2016 |

Draxamus posted:What's a basic gameplan for r mika? BnB combos, what to do at neutral, and what to do after you knock someone down. Trying to look up info about her, but what I find is too much to take in. I just want a few simple things I can practice and apply to real matches. Bafael made a nice guide for her: http://youtube.com/watch?v=lJCJLTpUa38 She basically revolves around her standing MP. The main combo I use is LK, MP xx MP Shooting Peach when I'm poking. f+HP, HK Wingless Airplane is an alternate finish for some combos, and good for anti-air or close range CC. MP, f+MP, MP, HK xx EX Wingless Airplane would be the third BnB. It's a little trickier because you have to move back after the Rope Throw so they bounce off the edge of the screen and back into you, or not move at all if they're already near the corner. All of her combos end up being some kind of variation on those three. As for gameplan, I don't feel even remotely qualified to try and guide anyone on that, being that I have yet to escape from Bronze. I just go with the general grappler plan of counter-poking any aggression until they get defensive, and that's when I start tossing command grabs into the mix. Just don't abuse her HK or cr.HK. They're strong and useful but better players will demolish you for throwing them out willy-nilly.

It seems like it should be pretty easy to punish ragequitting in this game, considering it's always-online so they can always tell which player disconnected. Of course it means getting a loss for genuine disconnects as well, but that's a small price to pay.

1)It doesn't take always online to sole this problem. SF4 docked you points and Xrd put your name in red for it. 2)why the gently caress should anyone care about getting a loss for a disconnect
