What exactly is the use case for ORCs? A dozen more points gets me an Aquila with better stats and MSV3, or a few more points than that for a Swiss Guard. Those things do stuff, instead of sit there and be the most vanilla HI.
The dozen points you save can be spent on a vanilla Fusilier, which gives you another Regular Order, more interlocking board control, and/or another potential ARO. Sometimes quantity has a quality all its own. Like everything else, it's a situationally-dependent trade-off. Sometimes MSV3 will be a huge benefit. Other times it will be wasted points. There have been plenty of times where I've been all, "gently caress, I need one more Regular Order to accomplish X."

February releases! (clicky)

Also, the Su-Jian got one hell of an upgrade. For +4 points it got +1 BS(both forms), +1 ARM, multiterrain, Mov 8-2(!) and NWI. Holy mother of god :aaaaa: Also, it has another profile for 54/0 with a heavy shotgun (still keeps the LFT/PF).

ISS basically got super-heavy motorcycles. A whole host of lists opens up. :china:

Wasn't the old su jiuan 6-6 in mobile form? Though I guess the first MOV value is more valuable.

Yes and yes. Theoretically faster, but 8" in first Move is huge.

Is there anything else that has an 8-2 move? Jesus that's scary! You could wheel around cautiously and only ever generate ARO's exactly when you want to spring your trap.

I'm not feeling the arm swap on the Devil Dog. It lacks the cocky confidence of the other pose to me, and the fact that other than the arms it's exactly the same is disappointing. Especially as I want to run a second Devil Dog team and don't want to sculpt a bunch of pouches onto a Dog Face.

Two more new players have popped up on the local Infinity FB near me. This game seems to be really taking off in my area.

Motorcycles have 8-something move, but OTOH, they don't have cover, climbing+, or the "gently caress lower BS, I'm still gonna climb onto that building in one order and shotgun everyone present hitting on 18" factor. It's a precision sledgehammer.

That's actually kicked off a hell of a thread on my local area group. Apparently he's some sort of broken and OP machine? I haven't played long enough to judge, but he sure seems like a great target for being shot in the face over and over.

The pawsting business is tough work.
YJ is getting harder and harder not to pick up, what with all the HI and motorcycles available.

Pretty yawn about Hector, though. Call me when they release Odysseus. Now there's a Greek I can get behind! :v:

I'm confused. Does it having G:rem presense allow it to benefit from supportware, at the same time as being able to go prone and dodge at base PH because its an HI?

Yeah I think it really warped it and maybe should have been made a remote. 6 inch cautious moves are crazy strong but an 8 inch is absurd.

Jeeze, guess I'll get a transformer now.

How do you peeps handle the secret info stuff in friendly games? Currently still learning the mechanics/rules/all the other stuff that makes the game tick and it's not too bad.

The problem is I'm basically constrained from list sharing with my pals as they don't wanna know any of the 'secret' info before a game, which makes it had to make sure I don't make mistakes like deploy TO Camo guys on the board.

I mean if they wanna play super cut-throat ITS missions with everything right that's cool, but I've played two games and am not looking at swapping the training wheels for rocket engines any time soon.

No. It is a Heavy Infantry, and doesn't get access to supportware.

8" Cautious Move is staggering. It's a Move-Move for pretty much everything in the game and the Su Jian can do it without provoking AROs.

Right but I'm responding specifically to WAR FOOT's poast about it not getting access to supportware. The Hackable quality removes any speculation.

Guys. Guuuuuuys cmon

WAR FOOT said that the Su Jian couldn't benefit from supportware cause it's HI. However the SJ has the Hackable quality on its army listing. Hackable says that a unit can benefit from supportware so whether or not WAR FOOT is wrong Hackable says the SJ can use supportware.

It doesn't feel right to kill an unarmed man... but I'll get over it.
The essential disconnect we're having here is that supportware is a category that contains programs with further targeting restrictions. Fairy Dust only works on HI, and can target Su Jian because it's HI. Assisted Fire and Enhanced Reaction only target REMs and can't target the SJ because it's not a REM.

e: Also Controlled Jump is supportware that only works on troops with AD: Combat Jump (disqualifying the SJ), and Cybermask is self-only, so everyone fear the day a Hacking Device Plus Su Jian hits the table.

Basically, what Stabbington said. Supportware is a category of programs that each have their own targeting restrictions. Being hackable has nothing to do with those restrictions.

Alternatively, how about a new ISS skirmisher with holo2/ forward deployment 2 / MA1 / monoCCW /chaincolt?
With variant Madtraps, hacker with assault or killer HD, FO, and minelayer with sniffers instead of mines?

Oh, and there's a model render already, so the mini should be soon, April perhaps.

As a Shasvastii player I can already imagine the mindfucks available to a holo2/MA/DTW/monoCCW combo :getin:
