I got adopted by a cat yesterday. Trying to sleep and the damned thing kept meowing right outside my window. I opened the front door to yell at it and it made itself right at home and hasn't left yet. There's a bad problem in the area of abandoned pets, and this guy is too friendly and well-fed to be a feral cat. I tossed him out today when I left for work, thinking if he was a neighbor's cat, he might wander back home, but he was waiting on me when I came home. But he loves belly scratches and has already caught two mice, so he's a good catte in my book and he can stay if he wants.

If you haven't yet, read Apple's motion to vacate brief. https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/2722199-5-15-MJ-00451-SP-USA-v-Black-Lexus-IS300.html Some choice quotes: "Moreover, this is the only case in counsel's memory in which an FBI director has blogged in real-time about pending litigation, suggesting that the government does not believe the data on the phone will yield critical evidence about other suspects." "Nor does Congress lose 'its exclusive constitutional authority to make laws necessary and proper to carry out the powers vested by the Constitution' in times of crisis (whether real or imagined)." "...equating the data stored on a cell phone to physical items is like saying a ride on horseback is materially indistinguishable from a flight to the moon."

I'm completely fine with those laws. loving boozed up fuckwits making the CBD a vomitron of violence and dickheads, lovely "nightclubs" and terrible eateries that frankly should be burnt down. As much as I think Melbourne sucks, they got the nightlife in the CBD poo poo nailed. Sydney's CBD is a soulless shithole. Plus people dying from coward punches. Most of the degenerates moved on to Star City, a POS casino is perfect for boozed up fucktards. poo poo like the Ivy? burn it, no loss. And Kings Cross? Oh boo loving hoo, that place's nightlife is no loss at all. Cheap stripper joints with meth addicts listlessly poledancing, 5 buck hookers, some truly awful eateries and vastly over the top priced bars where half the drinks are watered down, seedy wank joints, dingy back packer hostels that give you Hep C if you sat on the carpet.... gently caress that place completely. The real loving problem is the good nightlife was hosed over by Clover Moore and her buddies rezoning Oxford Street - all the good pubs and nightclubs got tossed out to be replaced by rows of convienience stores and lovely boutiques. Which is a terrible shame for the LGBT community, Oxford Street was legendary for it's gay and lesbian bars. Some I think still exist up at Taylor Square but FFS, the lockouts didnt ruin that area. Actually the lockouts didnt ruin anything. The whole place was a lot better in the early 90's - Kings Cross was a more dingy poo poo hole but it was a great place to cruise. Long lines of worked off their nut V8's rumbling past hookers and biker gangs, music blasting, good kebabs and pies, cheap swill at the pubs.... lost a fair few nights driving a mat'es 350 supercharged Torana through the Cross, picking up girls and linelocking the oval office at the fountain. Place was a lot more boozed up up but.... I dunno more laid back. Even the cops got in on it - cant remeber the amount of times I was dared to race by cops. Like literal 160kph through the tunnel with a cop laughing his rear end off behind me. I'd be jailed if I tried that now. Something seriously changed mid 90's I think, the mood got nastier with the cops and poo poo changed from revellers having fun to just get blacked out loving drunk. I wouldnt even dare go near Kings Cross with a stock Commodore and I sure as gently caress wouldnt even think about even tyre chirping, I'd be off to jail for street racing. Hell, the street walkers were much better, some of them were actual quality. I shudder at what passes for a street walker now. So yeah, the lockouts? That aint the problem. TLDR - The problems started about 20 years ago when things went from lets have a good time to loving cops and Drink As Much Booze As Possible, plus train services stopped at midnight.

We bought one at a good price in about '04 and even then "good price" was 2500 and it was rust. Immediately sold because the rust was unbelievably complete... And still sold it for $5k.

There was a very short discussion about Rick and Morty being great the other day, special mention was made of Gravity Falls. I'd like to add a nod to Space Dandy which is both dumb as gently caress and very sweet. Space Dandy is a dandy guy, in space, obsessed with tits and rear end he leads a crew of bounty hunters on missions to capture and sell first of their kind aliens. Different episodes are animated in different styles and it's possibly the most colourful thing ever produced. Give it a try. Bloody knackered and I've got a busy weekend ahead, thankfully it's pretty AI. Tonight ive got to finish plotting up the route for a classic rally I'm navigating. Tomorrow I'm up early doors to drive coast to coast (1:30 each way ) to pick up an cooker, then get home, fit new strut tops and ARB bushes to the remaining side of the van, the get to scrutineering to meet my driver and her MG Midget (I've only met her for half an hour before this!). Then Sunday a fun mix of regularities (average speed stuff) and tests (fun stuff)

Bought the wife a new 2016 Civic EX, fantastic car at a great value. We were nearly sold on the Mazda 3 until I remembered the new Civic was out. The only thing we liked better about the Mazda was the 6 sped auto over the CVT but otherwise the Civic blows the doors off the 3 in almost every way. The 2.0 is a surprisingly peppy motor for being N/A. We did test drive the EX-T but they weren't moving on the price nearly as much, and my wife did not care about the extra power, heated seats and hideous wheels. Apple CarPlay rules too.

Turns out the images have no licensing restrictions or requirements, as long as I leave that watermark in the bottom left (or otherwise attribute the data to JMA/NICT/Himawari-8) So yeah, that'd be awesome I'll be able to make a two month long one shortly, too, and with my new software process that produces even more buttery video

I just finished a cask strength Laphroaig, 56% ABV. To even taste half of what it offered, you had to water it down. Y'all can drink fire straight, but I like the flavor.
