CroatianAlzheimers posted:So, I've been away for a while. What's the latest on Butterscotch? The updates that you got were pretty much on point! All is well in Bscotch land. I mentioned before that I was going to get a foster pet megathread going. That's still going to happen but we put a pause on fostering as we're going away for two weeks to get married. When we get back, we'll get a new pack of fosters as quickly as possible and will launch the thread! We're gonna have a great time but it's gonna be brutal leaving behind our buds. I've got a good friend housesitting and I'll be demanding pictures on the regular. In the meantime, Monty and Butterscotch sharing a marlin in the sun:

Inzombiac posted:I have a serious question: I grew up in AZ and it gets 118 in the summer. Basically it sucks if you don't have electric to run a cooler, and you get used to burning yourself on steering wheels, pavement, door handles, and seatbelts. Walking a few miles to work is also a little lovely but doable. It's not too bad if you have a water bottle.

I'm just thinking about EVER exposing my shoulders to 100+ heat and I just want to diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie. Granted, the last time I did that was in Florida and it was 9,000% humidity.

This is not cute so it does not belong but since everybody's complainin', I have survived three (3) summers in Phoenix without air conditioning in my car, doing 20 minute drives to work. I have got in the habit of bringing an extra set of clothes to work and taking whore baths before changing in order not to be funky. It is generally around 120° in the car during drives. I have also done canvassing work and blacksmithing in the dead of summer, and during my first month of living here (September, 115°) I locked myself out of my car with the keys sitting on the front seat so I had to stand guard while I waited for a locksmith. I am a pale Nordic chick. You do get used to it. Your blood thins and you just don't feel it so much. I would never be able to get used to the cold after this. gently caress snow. Still, I see people jogging or wearing a ton of clothes while working construction and I think, how do they do that?? Here is a mighty dragon

I spent 3 years in south Alabama (in a car with no AC, too!) and now winters are loving killing me. I'm in VA now we had a blizzard a month ago and I was like "gently caress this poo poo". Here's Henry Cat and Charlotte Cat dealing with winter.

Isn't there something similar to this with a monkey and a lemon? Like the monkey gets seriously pissed and chucks the lemon across the room.
