This girl chose a prompt that listed a couple of Founding Fathers but not Aaron Burr. When she got back her C paper she threw a poo poo fit because she was marked off for not using Burr anywhere in the essay and her justification was that Burr wasn't mentioned in the prompt. He wasn't in any prompt! College is full of retards, and they're all passing.

My aunt has endless horror stories about graduate students that still couldn't write a loving paper to save their lives, let alone undergrads.

This idiot was literally advocating for the wholesale adoption of individual vernaculars to be some how graded by a single person like it was a common sense approach to educating the masses. I literally thought people like that only existed on the internet.

I think MLA is retarded and incredibly unreadable garbage but it's great for taking notes in the margins so its great for grading I guess. Im an insane person who prefers to read really dense and small text though

I used ASA for my entire academic writing career, then had to use APA for work. Felt like one of those feral kids being let outside for the first time when I could actually use all those automated bib programs.

Easily worth the $20 a year when you are writing a lot of papers.

Yeah, for some reason Word doesn't do MLA citations correctly. It gets you most of the way there, but then you have to disable updates and fix your bibliography , after which you can't use the citation feature because you'd have to re-enable updates and scrap all your manual corrections. e: and since you should be updating your bibliography all the way through the writing process, this defeats the whole purpose of the software feature

So University San Diego said they'll accept me, but the credits I have at Thomas Edison State University won't transfer over, meaning I'll be starting from the beginning despite having almost an AA from them. Only because they are online

They got my unofficial transcripts so they know it's close. 2 classes away. Probably doing option B. I'll just Clep the last two classes and hope I pass. That way I'll get an AA regardless. Edit: that includes JST stuff by the way.

what kind of luck have had people getting their VMET, ATARRS or whatever they call the military transcripts transferred into credits? Mine lists some MOSs that I was just slotted in with no actual training, mostly commo poo poo with a lot of recommendations for computer poo poo. Considering I'm going to pursue a CS degree I think, that could be pretty helpful? probably going to knock out my lower level courses at a community college then transfer to a state uni.
