Note the use of the term "breakthrough BPA-free material called 'Tritan'".
It's Nalgene bottles. Tritan is the new plastic that Nalgene uses after they switched away from polycarbonate.
Guess what "breakthrough BPA-free material" leaches different endocrine-disrupting chemicals.

Way too much Social Science explanation (Gen X hates that, not Productive), the more simple answer is the Baby Boomer parents worked all the drat time so they dropped Gen X kids off at the grandparents when the latchkey method was not appropriate, and it was simply being near the grandparents that you noticed their behavior and somehow identified with it and became misers.

What kills me is that if you told them that 20 years ago there was an infomercial for "an all in one lunch packing solution that came with an interactive CD-ROM with a list of easy to make recipes but if you act now for an additional $30 we'll throw an extra two sets of containers" most the people backing this would start laughing. But because its shot as a softlight video with some guy with a british accent talking about apps and innovation and is from San Francisco people will eat this poo poo up. These kickstarter things are just the infomercial packaged for a new generation, and people eat this poo poo up by the spoonful while laughing at those stupid dumb plebs dumb enough to buy poo poo off the shopping channel.

Except with infomercials the product exists and is usually sold for dirt cheap to move a lot of units. With Kickstarter it doesn't and they charge out the rear end because they threw some buzzwords in about quality and realness.

You could probably make a kickstarter for some random rear end 90's Ronco kitchen gadget, but sell it with some Sanfran tech guy talking about how it's inventing the wheel and it will change how we think about pancakes over public domain "indie" rock and make bank.

There must be something else that people see in this other than 'lunch is hard' - they will be pretty sad once they realise they have to clean this stuff just like anything else. I'm not sure what the cost of regular tupperware stuff is like, but it seems like an ok starting point if you don't have anything like this (the $55 starter pack).

Personally if I'm planning lunch I just put like 5 sandwiches in the fridge, in cling wrap and it meets the same goal of having a prepared healthy lunch.

Do Vancouver people really think they are anywhere close to representing Canada?

The rest of Canada is bright white and if you haven't noticed this you're delusional.

Go explore and hear some tales from the locals. The small town provencal charm of rural Canada wears off pretty quick after the 30th racist joke though, eh.

I think we are part of Canada just like the major cities in the US with all the ethnic people are part of the US.

In fact the three major cities are a much larger proportion of the population compared to the US.

Sorry we didn't import more slaves, eh?

P.S. also nice 10 year old data.

Yeah sorry not up to the standards of your unsourced undated pie chart about "home language" where 0% russian is a big orange slice.

You would probably like it in Melbourne I hear they have ethnic food there too.

e: let me go get the data from yesterdays census I'm pretty sure 8 million blacks moved here last year because of the Raptors playoff run. Your city couldn't even support a basketball team it's so white. It riots over hockey games it's so white.
