i'm really shocked that a system that's hemorrhaging money might try to save costs by not developing for a platform that doesn't have the hardware to support them anyway

Seeing as I have memorized every piece of UI or arcane hand motion in iOS, really don't see how anyone could complain. It's extremely intuitive when you never have to think about what to do, because your sperg retard brain has already memorized it.

Stux posted:also have no issue with using it from the address bar. honestly don't understand the complaint Well maybe not anymore, when you've learned the stupid god drat place they put the function in. But the first time you wanted to find something in the page and there just doesn't seem to be a button or menu entry for it and you have to google it. I mean i guess you could also bookmark pages by typing "bookmark this" into the address field and it would work fine. It would still be a dumb ui for it.

nevermind that actually doing a search in safari for how to search on the same page will reveal the "on this page" section of the address bar as you're typing it in

amazon was pricing ebooks themselves and now they let publishers price them
|
# ? Mar 7, 2016 18:23 |

because the publishers were gonna pull their books which means that the ebook market isnt really that big or important really nothing else has taken off in the disruptive way that digital music has. even netflix has to fight tooth and nail for its content and its missing a ton of poo poo
|
# ? Mar 7, 2016 20:53 |

they weren't gonna pull their books and if they did amazon could just stop offering them in print outside of mass market paperback reselling.

# ? Mar 7, 2016 21:30 |

the absolute worst was hearing hack writers get up and stump for the publishers about how amazon was going to ruin books forever (by making them cheaper and more accessible then at any point in human history)
|
# ? Mar 7, 2016 21:31 |

amazon folded because the publishers have more leverage. its really not that hard to find another shop on google when amazon doesnt have the book you want. hell and who knows maybe you like that other shop better and buy your books there from now on
|
# ? Mar 7, 2016 21:48 |

i have no data on this but i believe that the amount of people who happen to buy a book on amazon just because its the first google result is a lot bigger than youd think
