It must've been caused by the Sectoid falling through the roof into a hidden area; the game can get weird with falling enemies. I've seen dudes spend an entire turn floating in the air before instantly smashing to the ground and dying on the next one. Another thing that screwed with them is how flashbangs can straight-up make things worse, since blinded enemies will usually do things other than shoot at your guys, like moving, overwatching, or... shooting civilians. Blinded Sectoids are often more dangerous too since they'll actually use their weapons, it's really dumb. I might be mistaken here, I'm going off of my own experiences, but I'm fairly certain Pat would've won that mission if he didn't use that flashbang.

I feel like an old man who's not keeping up with modern technologies, so can somebody tell me why were the guys angry at amiibo thing in their Nintendo Direct video on Vessel? I don't own a single amiibo and I barely know what's their purpose.
