Probably yeah. More useful as a secondary track than the Fed campaign if you've already capped on skill points and have slots free after queuing the daily klank mission though.

It was way faster than going down one lane, but that was mostly because a single lane alone didn't get you enough completion to hit stage 2. That and it also requires the participants to not be incompetent and get exploded by the turrets, so pubs never split up.

It's definitely the best mission though, and I'm curious to see the tweaks. Time to pull the ~~dildo~~ Bulwark out of cold storage!

Posted about that on reddit, actually got a cryptic dev to respond. Evidently it's justified because so many people already have a bunch of unrefined dil saved up, so 10 days to save half a day of refining totally makes it worth it. That way I can use my dil for other stuff. I'm not entirely sure what other stuff I should be using it on, but that's the justification.

In short, cryptic continues to not have any clue how people actually play the game.

Really the biggest thing to me is that Cryptic doesn't seem to understand that the biggest holdup with people upgrading isn't the mark improvements but the absurd, kMMO-level RNG-focused dilithium-dump quality upgrade chances.

Or more likely, they are perfectly aware of this and want to trivialize the mark upgrade process so more people throw money at the quality chance process. :geno:

One of the problems is that they seem to be trying to add tanking without major changes to the way DPS and threat generation work. At least that's what they've done so far, and it hasn't worked because 'tanks' can't come close to generating as much threat as a standard high DPS build. So all that tank stuff will only work if they make non-DPS threat generation way higher than it currently is.

Of course, if they do that they break reciprocity builds.

And I still don't see what they're getting by adding tanks. Sure, pubbies have been trying to build tank ships as long as the game has existed, but even if cryptic makes it finally possible, what does it help? STFs are generally either time gated (spend 15 minutes shooting stuff no matter how much DPS you have), or require a certain amount of damage to be done before the STF can finish, with elite versions generally becoming hard team-DPS checks. Tanks don't help in either situation.

In fairness, the big skill revamp thing is adding a new power (well, replacing a removed one) that's a toggle that gives a max HP buff and a huge threat buff, so you can actually properly tank now.

Problem is pubs are utterly retarded and will load up on defense skills and poo poo and still be unable to pull aggro while also being absolutely useless for killing things. :geno:

Also all the stuff on IQFleet has been known for a while, there's at least one other place posting leaks in a private fashion. Check the wiki. :ssh:

You might be waiting awhile for feedback. They managed to break PVP and STF queues (on tribble), so it's a little difficult to test the changes.

We don't know - the announcement was pretty general, and they specifically did not list which powers were affected (they just said it was a lot of them). They claim that they didn't tell us because they wanted player testing to be un-biased. Personally, I think they're hoping people won't notice all the things that got nerfed.

It's almost certain to be a big hit for people who were using APB stacking pets to get high DPS runs in ISA.

And again, until they fix tribble queues there won't be any real good tests. And even once the queues are fixed it's still rolled in with the new skill revamp, so it'll be difficult to tease out what's hurt by this fix as opposed to what's hurt by the skill changes.
