Hey everyone- Just the occasional drop-in to put an injection of outside perspective some issues. This service costs me $207 per month. I am over $6800 away of costs this year before my health insurance starts "saving me money". Its still considered one of the better, more innovative services available because it offers some "free" (i.e. inclusive from the $207 per month) primary doctors visits. Regards Whoops I can't change the other attached image. Wow! Last time I needed a blood test the doctor gave me a bit of paper, went down to the local Labtest place and I was done. The paper is also good for a whole year with no minimum interval should the more frequent tests be required. LOL that second image. It's like informercial pricing. We normally sell it this price, but as a special offer we will sell to you at this lower price which is our actual normal price.

The "Harken Discounts" or "X Discounts" number can be safely said to be the "fat" that is "cut out" when you have a public healthcare system or a single payer. Unfortunately as you can see, thats enough to keep a lot of people employed in America and a lot of stock dividends. A lot of things are under fire in NZ but please always hasten to the defences at a minutes notice if anything vaguely like this appears on the horizon.

Yeah, my brother was in hospital in the US early last year because he ended up with an infection in a wound (which he had been putting off seeing a doctor for due to cost) that started polluting his blood and he collapsed. He said with basically no insurance the cost of being in the hospital overnight and a course of meds to clear up the infection was startlingly more than the entire treatment, including surgery and rehab, of breaking his kneecap in NZ.

Nah, they specifically say he's receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the hand. It sounds like the dude is still holed up, so the officer was probably just waving it around and took a potshot after the initial exchange had subsided.
