Bought directly through steam, in the US, was getting the pre-load not ready yet message. Connected to a Bulgarian VPN and it is updating through Steam now.

I use SoftEther VPN (https://www.softether.org) and whatever "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Server" it says for Bulgaria. Its all free and pretty easy to do.

I didn't buy on uplay, but bought a uplay key and it just told me in uplay I was good to go.. so I downloaded another 3GB that didn't pre-load, it installed and launched to a black screen and nothing happened. Couldn't alt-tab, ctrl alt del, nothing. forced reboot. GG

I didn't play the beta on PC, but I am hoping the keyboard-mouse controls are pretty good?

Don't get me wrong, I have a controller, but I did not like the controller aiming on the console beta.

As with any shooter keyboard/mouse is the way to go. You won't have a wheel for emotes which kinda sucks, but you can bind them to keys in your keybindings or use chat commands (/exercise, /salute, etc). The grenade or buff selection wheel also kinda sucks, but you can bind those to something else as well.

I tried that to go to windowed as well, just didn't type it. It does nothing. The only thing I saw was the in game pointer icon..then after doing ctrl alt del it showed the windows pointer on a black screen still. real weird.

The emotes defaulted to num 1-6 in the beta for me, if you have a 10key.

Didn't have NZ handy but Singapore worked for me.

Edit: Never mind. Got it unlocked, but it won't launch with the VPN off.

Mine did that too, black screen, couldn't alt-tab or ctrl-alt-del for task manager. I could tell I was in windows because I'd see my normal cursor, but if I went back to the game I'd get the division cursor. Pressed alt-f4 to close the game and when I relaunched it I can see stuff now. Odd.

Y'all need to stop trying to connect to kiwiland. The game is out in the UK now and connecting to a London server worked just fine for me launching through Steam.

And make sure Steam is fully closed when you connect the VPN or it won't unlock.
