When they introduced grade 9 mats they added a jawa vendor that would trade your grade 8 mats for the corresponding grade 9 mat. This includes white mats which you buy from the vendor (or run missions for) like first aid kits or syringes, etc. They go up in price with each grade, with the grade 9 ones being almost triple the cost of grade 8. You can try and buy a bunch of grade 8 mats, convert them to grade 9 and then GTN them later on, profit would likely be not too much.

After finishing Chapter 3 on all Imp classes i decided to take my Assassin into the expansion packs. Im barely motivated to continuing to play. The expansion content is so boring and feels so uninspired. I am "forced" to do flashpoints to progress the story and/or flashpoints ARE the story. I primarly play MMOs for social and grouping stuff but dungeons in SWTOR are so incredibly boring. They take loving forever and the bosses are almost exclusively tank and spank. This game really needs to learn from WoW how to design instances and boss fight. The story is also all over the place. This is probably a result of me being almost level 60 by the time i finished Chapter 3 and was able to pick up quests for RotHC, Ilum, Oricon and SoR all at the same time and not knowing which chronological order to do them in but the game should be responsible for guiding me through this. I have finished Ilum, Makeb and Oricon now and did the first FP of SoR. Does it ever get better? Someone in guild chat said that SoR is entirely FPs which was the straw that prompted me to make this post.

I decided to play Knights of the Old Republic II after having not touched it since it originally came out on Xbox. All that did was remind me that TOR will always just be a shallow imitation of the older games. TOR is still a good game but i'm still left confused years later as to why No Really Bioware decided to make this a story heavy MMO without even really improving at all on what the single player games tried to do.

Jedi Knights that have completed the Mission “Healing a Hutt” now have the correct line when first meeting Firebrand in Chapter X.  I should have waited before doing chapter 10 on my JK. I was really looking forward to something like this.

You never get her as a companion, but I like to imagine her getting in wacky misunderstandings with the rest of the team. I was hoping she'd remember me.

Alright, since Mgant flaked out on me, I'll post this. I'm gonna do a goon run of either EV or KP, newbie friendly (as we ever get) for funsies, maybe some crafting mats, and the best hat in the game. 8 man story mode which iirc means if you breathe with your mouth closed and are over level 50, you can come. I'm thinking either tonight at around 6 central or Thursday evening, exact time tbd. If you're interested but afraid you'll gently caress it up, come anyway. If you're interested and confident, come and heal/tank  Anyone who wanted to dip a toe into raiding should come now, else you have your first time alongside seven smelly pubbies. Help us help you!

The only difficult part of tanking EV is positioning the final boss, but post 4.0 even that is cake since you get a giant glowing circle to drag him to.

I won't be able to make it home and get patched up by 6, but I'll try to log in when I can and offer moral support if nothing else. Anybody who hasn't tried the raids should definitely make the effort. Both EV and KP have a great layout and narrative flow to them, along with a decent variety of boss mechanics. Chapter XI seemed very much like the Aric Jorgan Show with the player as supporting cast, still desperately trying to make the antics of Havoc squad feel as big and impressive as those of all the other classes.
