First game was slow as molasses. Did they actually managed to fix that? No loving amount of fanservice will make up for that chapter where you had to fight like 90 enemies. Not even Chun-Li/Morrigan and Frank West/Lei-Lei pulling crowd control duties made that episode go any faster. It got to the point where I got lucky that I got a rare drop item which nullified the enemy defenses and avoided the last boss from doing his "counter with a super attack that shaves off 90% of your full life or kills you otherwise" bullshit by giving it to Ryu and Ken, buffing them and putting them right in front of that rear end in a top hat and work him, while Dante/Demitri and Zephyr/Leanne used their extended range to gently caress him up long distance, taking advantage of the fact that Ryu and Ken nullified his defense bar and the fact that they both had a skill to avoid enemy counters. I think it was the whole reason the final stage only took me around an hour and a half, instead of the three hours those sons of bitches from Monolith Software expected me to do. The only thing the first game did was to rekindle my love for Sakura Wars. Also, the fact that Yuri Lowell has a "I have absolutely no time for your poo poo" portrait is the best.  See this strapping young lad? He has absolutely no time for your poo poo. None. Unless you're a pink-haired, doofus of a princess or his dorky childhood friend.

Every single enemy in the game dies in a single attack round. The reason why is that *all* attack buffs stack. All of them. Including the *same* attack buff cast over and over. I literally had Strider oneshot the final boss.
