Just jumped down to a 2K lead for Bernie. 76 precincts left, all but two of them are split between Jackson or St Louis counties. QuoProQuid posted:that reminds me, if this goes to the convention floor, trump might get screwed out of his votes in nevada due to "irregularities" Nevada was a massive clusterfuck even by caucus standards. That were passed by republicans in those states and that's she also outspokenly against! She's in favor of automatic voter registration when you turn 18, so her win isn't because of anything she did re:voter IDs. Also, it's really funny that they're claiming states in which she won by 20+ points are not legitimate. I mean, Illinois at least was within 5.

Plus, these are the democratic primaries--proportional allotment and all that. "Winning" by 1% means jack poo poo beyond the cheap headline; in terms of delegate math (where he's still screwed and has been for weeks) it means flipping one delegate between the C and S camps.

zen death robot posted:County is much larger Yes but fewer of the precincts were still outstanding, about 40 in county vs about 100 in city(before they all came in). On average right now it's about 220 people per precinct in the city vs 295 in the county. With 40 outstanding that's about 11,765 votes left, and at current split thats 6435 for Clinton to 5330 for Sanders. Not enough to cover the spread, but it depends on the size of the precincts left and the split, a little larger and a little more clinton and it's hers. farraday has issued a correction as of 05:39 on Mar 16, 2016 |

apologies if this came up already but unsurprisingly the general GOP turnout blowout trend continued. dems dominated in IL which isn't a surprise, and NC was about even which was also surprising given that GOP turnout in missouri was 1.5x the dems

Sanders is gonna stay in until the convention, and Clinton herself (discounting any surrogates, who could go off message) won't make the argument that he should drop out because she stayed in until June in 2008. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary or at least some in her camp think that having Sanders in the race is good for her visibility. She's gonna get overshadowed by the Battle for the GOP's Soul if there's no competition in the Dem primary.
