In smtiv I went with the default mc name (which made you law aligned in smt2) and I've done the nice (law) choices right before the tutorial dungeon. Does this mean I'm... Law aligned?  (smtiv owns)

Honestly SMTIV kinda bugged me in that the Neutral Rep doesn't... really... exist? Especially compared to Jonathan and Walter. Like there is one, but the character is less "gently caress y'all, humans first" and more "I don't know which to chooooooooooose"

Also the majority of law/chaos points don't come until the mid-late game, the tutorial ones are drops in the bucket.

My big complaint about SMT IV is that you essentially had to be bipolar to get the neutral route. It honestly would just be better if you could choose what alignment you wanted instead of it being decided by a dumb alignment point system.

I didn't want to use my real name because that'd be self-inserty and I couldn't think of another name that would fit. One legit problem with smtiv is that there's only a male protag which doesn't make a lot of sense when he's such a blank slate. iirc when the character designer was asked about this he said women aren't as good at surviving as men so they wouldn't fit which is pretty laffo

I guess the difficulty curve of SMT IV wasn't great either. About halfway through the game I was just trivializing all of the bosses in a few turns. That probably had more to do with my build than anything else though.
