Merciless Resolve is basically an instant black Divination in the late game when you don't care about lands (which is when you most want to cast divination) and I'm sure there's sacrifice synergies (we've already seen red cards that make Goblin Arsonist devil tokens)

We just had Altar's Reap in BFZ and the effect ends up being a lot worse than it looks like, almost unplayable. It's too hard to hold up the mana in the early game, and late game you'd just rather have Divination or Read the Bones or whatever. I like the card but I don't think sacrificing a creature is going to be very relevant, unless you're pitching some filler creature to enable Delirium. You're not going to sit there very long waiting for a removal spell from your opponent, you're going to sacrifice a land asap so you can develop your board some more.

ETBT and mill yourself X would have to be at least 2-3 or it wouldn't be good enough to print at rare. ETBT or mill would be completely and utterly broken ETBT or discard is the most likely if they do a new cycle of duals but I'm not sure they'll go there. Only slightly related but I'd like to see a land that taps for colorless or taps and discard a card for one of any color.

Hmm, I wonder if Origins Chandra will be playable with new Olivia? Origins Chandra's big weakness was always that she almost always got immediately shocked or removed before she could do anything. A 3/3 with haste is more likely to flip immediately and is safe(er) from Wild Slash.

These kids are crazy! Also I'm pretty sure Merciless Resolve is mediocre to okay filler, even in Limited. Altar's Reap has always been bad to okay at one mana less. It's been best in sets with a sacrifice subtheme but even then there are usually better sacrifice outlets. Vampire Support 1 is cool, a 3/5 for 3 is cool, better Vampire Interloper is cool, Vampires look pretty nasty in Limited.

I feel like if you remove the "ETBT or" bit, you can print really pushed lands like: DiscardShardLand When this ETB, discard a card. T: add W, U, or B to your mana pool. They'd have fringe use in decks with flashback, madness, goyf/delerium, dredge, etc functionality, while not being actual trilands anywhere else. I don't think this would warp legacy dredge significantly since they already just run a bunch of 5 color lands, although the uncounterable Or: MillDual Swamp Island When this ETB, exile the top 10 cards of your library. T: add U or B to your manapool. actual mill is just basically drawing cards in certain decks, so that's not a drawback, but exiling a huge chunk of the deck puts deck building constraints on the land while allowing it to be a full power dual. This card wouldn't work in Storm but could be just fine in an aggressive deck or certain midrange/control builds, and a cycle of these lands might enable a future set of cards built around the shelldock isle mechanic.
