If wotc doesn't rip off the ending of the Clue movie and have four different endings to the plot of this block they're, well i mean we all know what they are and they won't do that but I just watched Clue again yesterday and what they did with the ending was really clever and good

I assume if my opponent says "kill it on your end step" it's too late for him, and I've got the trigger on the stack.

They have to kill it prior to your end step to deny you the trigger. If you go to the end step, its too late.

If you have a second in your hand, your opponent can't deny you the trigger unless he can deal with both of them.

I like Borin' pretty well the more I think about it, although I think I'd want an Esper Weissman style deck with literally only Sorin to kill with. Being able to kill off of your card draw engine is good and I think 6 is a lot less intimidating in that deck.
