Ah, that's what I figured but rhythm also seems like a genre where f2p statboosting stuff wouldn't go over very well, compared to sports managers and rpgs or whatever. I guess they're wildly successful though and heck, i'd play a lady card collecting shmup

Soccer Spirits is actually less titty than before cause the game redid a lot of its character arts and a lot of the characters are more covered up now apparently. I haven't played in over a month and just uninstalled the game yesterday so I dunno to which extent.
