i think initially you might be "whats the big deal", and then you go back to a lovely board, and then onto yours and it will make sense

Don't you just hate when you wind up in a store with people who are in a socioeconomic class that is pretty obviously about two levels lower than your own?

try one of these:

is a good mouse

you can even get a non optical version

and it's very easy to interface, you can basically go straight through a 5V (not RS-232) USB serial adapter at 1200bps 8/N/1, or use the UART on an Arduino and also use it to present a USB HID to your system

I still haven't gotten my HP-HIL interface working :(

stupid 100kbps 12/O/1 serial protocol

seriously considering making a custom UART in a CPLD since nothing can do 12-bit serial

i like typing my numerals at supersonic speed. also i could have gotten the 105 keyboars, but i went with the slim and trim 104 key instead (idk what the 105th key is)

anyone here run a tkl board with a seperate numpad? i think i'd like having the option of just using the numpad when i'm fighting my way through paperwork, but it'd need a few extra keys like tab and such

hahahahahahahahaha 600 wtf

I remember trying to program it into a nostromo but it didn't have enough keys to really work right, and half typing fucks with your brain a bit when you shift all the time. I think it could be loving fantastic if you combined it with an autocorrect function so you could skip shifting maybe

when i first hooked it up, i was having a hard time figuring out what was so great about it. the buckling spring board felt more satisfying with the resistance and clackiness. but after an evening of typing i'm sold. the keys have a grippy feel to them and the keypresses are assertive but forgivign. where the spring board was like a powerful B17 flying fortress, this one is much more on the level of a sleek SR-71 blackbird or stealth bomber

Tbf I use caps locks a lot when I do stuff on old timey computers. I don't do much number entry on my as/400 at work, I'm almost tempted by the sirens call me tkl but if I'd buy a tkl boar I'd probably go pok3r
