If jiwawawawawa refers to that vampire girl series then my experience with it is that it's the poor man's urusei yatsura and watching an episode of that anime only made me want to go back and watch more UY

most TCG anime toss the rules out the window when they feel like it or introduce super/supernatural powers so not bothering with rules in the first place isn't a big deal imo

i remember watching this card game advertisement anime where some kid fell into some fantasy world once where everyone had light sabre fights all the time. Card games never figured into it and i didn't even know it was advertising for one until after i finished it i think it was called kiba or something

 ffffffff the incest was supposed to be a hopelessly hosed situation, anyway. it made me sad for Yuzuki. and then S2 had lovable villain Aki-lucky come back, but with a suddenly depressing arc. it was great. the /a/ threads were fun too because of how the show progressed with weekly moments like the above image and the pen scene and etc. Endorph posted:idk why they made a show that was 50% innuendo and weird pseudo-sexual dynamics between teenage girls to promote a card game, but here we are. iona, too, was a gift that never stopped giving

i can't find any good sources for it but it also seems like the card company refused to pay Aniplex because they weren't able to make the jump into the US, which resulted in a bunch of lawsuits until the card company finally settled...for roughly the same amount they owed to begin with.

it's the best when adaptions just go nuts and do their own thing. also by JC Staff is the show Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, the anime for a media franchise about four girls who are descendants of famous detectives, all with special powers. for the first two seasons the writers had their powers stripped away and the anime was just about them being hopeless, useless idiots. it was the best.
