I for one liked IGPX when it was a big deal on toonami. The dub had some big name people in it and a really cool soundtrack that was way better than the actual soundtrack. Sadly the dvds use the lame normal soundtrack rather than the one from the toonami airing.

I am also now crying because someone mentioned Megas XLR.

toonami also had weird miniseries with their host, tom, and also they had like a weird streaming experiment online back when everyone still had dial up

yeah iirc toonami also had bits in-between anime where tom would talk about, like, tomb raider or mister mosquito or sly 2 or something

Huh, I don't think we had anything like toonami here, a few anime were snuck into the morning cartoons and the multicultural channel would put some stuff like Eva and Bubblegum Crisis 2040 on pretty late at night

toonami had a cross promotional thing with sly cooper for whatever reason. you could unlock tom as a gadget in a few of the sly games. you'd throw a miniature tom out to distract enemies by yelling "HEY! HEY! PEAAANUUUUT"

It's good but it's not pure ear sugar/cocaine like that other one.

This one is more like cheesecake. Or a chewy chocolate candy bar.

there will be a higher quality screenshot someday, when ps2 emulation is good enough to run sly 2 at less than slow-motion speed

there was one tie-in browser game where the Absolution was being attacked or taken over by robots and you got to pick a robot size and then explore the ship to kill the bad robots a la Zelda games. there was a sort of loot system too, so you could try and/or upgrade your weapons and armor

good poo poo. i also really liked the Thundercats game, the turn-based DBZ grid fighter, and the weird Sailor Moon game with character tiles

Before I ever even watched Big O, which wasn't until college, I knew it as the show where a guy says "This world has a new order now! It has a new god!" and thinking that was a super tight line.
