I honestly can't imagine that, because I'm in the Netherlands. Microsift for the most part has been ignoring us. We don't even have Cirtana. Seriously, my phone isn't even unlocked. :psyduck:

I fixed my problem with a hard reset.

I'm liking W10 for the most part. My phone feels faster and the layout is a lot cleaner. The new outlook and office aops are great and so is Edge.
The worst parts thus far is the further gutting of the people app. Why can't I connect linkedin and twitter anymore.
The other worst part are the circles. "Let's put circles in our squares." Which genius cane up with that idea?

Probably the same reason facebook left the people app, everyone is locking down thier APIs. When a service/product is new they let everyone develop and do whatever they can on the API (Twitter as an example). Once they have a sufficent userbase and want to make money they shut everyone out and make them use thier own apps (Twitter as an example and they did it to serve ads).

Trying to use my music with a running/fitness app, and despite making a playlist it never shows up in the app's music selection. Upon investigating in my phone, apparently playlists and stuff are in a hidden folder.

Can I simply make a public folder, put the playlist file in there, and fix the problem that way, or has Xbox Music been a turd like this for a while now and I'm just now catching up?

Microsoft breaks its Windows 10 Mobile upgrade promise. Oops. Some random comment tallied up at least a partial list of the phones being left out: "Lumia 520, 630, 635, 720, 820, 920, 925, 1020, 1320, HTC One M8 and other Lumias that I forgot [like the Icon]. So uh, since my 1020 isn't going to get WM10, and it's starting to develop Alzheimers of the SIM card, and I have screen burnin that conspicuously looks like the Awful app, I think it's time I get a new phone.

The 950 is good, right? For a Windows phone? Because AT&T won't sell the 950XL and gently caress if I'm shelling out $700 on a phone right now.

Meh, so my 925 that it's currently running WM10 preview isn't going to get W10. That's awesome then. My 640XL is on the list at least, but is a great (another) gently caress you to users like my mom that owns a 635 and that means that I'll just get her an android phone once her contract runs out. I just hope that W10 runs buttery smooth on the 640 or this September I'm going back to android when I renew contract because there's a lot of resume even in 8.1 while my sister has lollipop on her Moto G 2014 and yet it feels faster sometimes. At least battery life is great.

950/xl are the only game in town for windows phone currently. In that setting, they are acceptable but on the whole are really mediocre compared to android and iPhone flagships. Grab a mozo case if you can as it makes the phone a bit more distinctive.

1520 runs it pretty well, however the latest w10 build disabled the glance screen options and touch sensitivity options. My touch screen started acting up badly so I replaced it with a slightly used 950xl, which is definitely snappier, but not too much. The 1520 definitely feels more premium.

So far, loving the phone though. Battery life is good, but idle drain is a little on the high side. Are the 950s worth 500+? No, get an iPhone or galaxy s7. The 950xl would be a solid $299 or $350 phone honestly.

The 950/XL are great hardware in really lovely packing. The mozo case helps a lot worth the fit and feel of the device, but it's still to much for what it is.

Sup fellow 1020 user :(. You can put 10 on it from the insider program, but it runs like crap really and I don't recommend it. She was a good phone and camera while she lasted though :(

Kind of sucks, but I guess I can understand why they aren't doing it. It really doesn't run well one those devices and the insider feedback is really why they made that call. The only other option is to put it out there but then people would just hate W10 on phones cause it ran like crap due to old hardware, or spend a ton of time stripping out features/etc to make it run on low end hardware and make that the focus like old Nokia did.

I actually tried using an iPhone 6 a long time ago and didn't really like it. I ended up going back to this 1020 a little over a month later. Got some really weird looks from the AT&T guy when I went to get a replacement SIM card.

Maybe I could use an Android but I still really like Windows Mobile. If it didn't have a good running app I'd probably switch, but it does, so I'll probably end up getting a 950 with the mozo case. Call me silly.

The price drop of the 950 in the US seems to be driving the used market down into the 300s, which is where they probably should've been all along. Still a bit rich for something for me to buy as a screwing around device though. :(

Anyone have an interest in a lightly used 950XL? It's the single SIM version and is in pristine condition. Has two continuum docks and a brown leather Mozo cover.

I never really use it so I'd rather sell to someone who will use it for more than one day at a time.

I have just reached a point where I just don't have much interest in Windows phone any more.

Let me know (PM?) and I'll toss up an SA Mart listing later this week as I'm out of town for work now.

New 4 inch iPhone SE, design like the 5 and 5S, but with the guts and camera of the 6S. If you want a flagship small phone, that's it. Of course that's $400 for 16 GB storage, but I think 64 GB comes in at $500, so still way cheap for a flagship.

So far the battery life has been slowly getting better and I've noticed that having the battery saver on now gets me through the day very comfortably (sitting on 45% after an average day of use). Without battery saver I would say I would get to around 30% on an average day. Hopefully there is still room for improvement.

Groove seems to work alright, but like most of the other apps occasionally they wig out. Presumably from things disappearing from out under them. Sometimes it won't play my onedrive tracks, and flashes through them all really fast until it tells me I have to sign in again (?). Othertimes it will resume playback when I get back in the car, and play through one song, or part of a song, then disappear off into the ether never to be heard from again.

It generally seems to play music and audio reasonably well, which is more than I can say for the "podcasts" app. I installed the Bringcast beta that is in there, but somehow that application doesn't have a play button? If your podcast stops playing there is no way to start it again without trying to find it in the list to start it. No idea what that UI is supposed to be.

Doctor_Fruitbat

I had some trouble getting it to work in the earliest W10 builds, but otherwise Podcast+ Pro has worked extremely well and the UI is significantly cleaner than all the others I tried.

I've had trouble with Groove and OneDrive too, in fact I find it asks me to reconfirm my Live password in general just enough to be annoying. Keep that authenticator app handy, because you'll be using it every couple of weeks.

Though in a way, if they would partner with Intel, run the latest good Atom processor, and allow Continuum with x86 apps. Then they might have their niche.
