You can kind of say this about any drivers in hollywood films. In the reality of films, no one apparently knows to slow down or stop if someone is in the road, they just keep driving forward. How many endless movies show someone falling onto the roadway, and then they show the semi-truck a half mile down the road barreling down on them. No matter how much distance the truck has, it never slows down or attempts to stop, it'll just run down that person if someone doesn't rescue them.
