The tools of a hero mean nothing without a solid core.

They'll flash to what happened on the island after he left.

Speaking of the island and the Flash, It would have been great if they timed the whole thing so that shark that bit him was actually King Shark shortly after he escaped another Argus prison (and Argus recaptured him and put him in a bigger one, which he escaped again during Flash's King Shark episode).

He was missing for five years, and we're only on season four, so there's still a whole year of island flashbacks to go, isn't there?

At least that much. Like the stuff this season has been what, over the course of 2 weeks or so tops?

They've always had time skips to keep the flashbacks in sync when necessary.

Well Ollie has to be on the island at the end of next season. I hope they go with kind of a Supermax plot, where he's stuck in the Lian Yu prison and has to escape. Then again he still needs to hook up with the Bratva.

It's going to be everyone else still on the island after Oliver left.

Main plotline proper of season 6 should be set on the island with flashbacks to bits of season 1 in Starling City that relate to the plot.

The island is going to be the next sidekick, just as soon as they finish making the mask and bodysuit for it.

Question for people who have been watching since the beginning---did the creators ever comment on the reduction in straight-up murder after the first season? It felt kinda forced, considering all the neck-snapping in the beginning

I don't know if they did directly, but it was pretty clearly supposed to be him "becoming a better person" and inspired by Tommy.

That was actually what made it feel forced (and thanks for reminding me on the justification). It was such a big change between seasons that I couldnt shake the immediate feeling that this direction was a fiat from the network

I feel like they justified it pretty well in-show. Like, they had like long drawn-out in-depth conversations about this change in methods.

Yeah, it's not like he stopped putting arrows in goons as soon as Tommy stopped breathing, everyone kept calling him out on it throughout the season.

Yeah, Lance is constantly rubbing his face in it. "Droppin' bawdies" and all that.

Then Ollie has that magnificent rant when he discovers Lance's new hobby....

At least Ollie had like 2 seasons of. "There are a lot of reasons getting romantically involved with me is a bad idea." He is finally worn down, and ditches that stance and now she is all "Man, there are a lot of reasons being romantically involved with you is a bad idea."
