Anyway, here you go Simon the Digger, here's "Gaia Crusaders". We sure went of our way to be as offensive as possible for this series. . . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUAoccAr4Fk

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the game so far. It gets pretty wild later on, so it'll be fun to see you react to that stuff. I'd never actually played it in two-player mode so I never knew that it had friendly fire - though I'm not sure if you hitting each other actually did damage or not. You probably already recorded all of it and are editing & uploading it after the fact, but here's something you might have missed: each character is associated with an element (some are associated with two), and when you pick up and use a magic orb that lines up with those element(s), you get the big screen-clearing Golden Axe-style magic attacks. All other orbs cause them to do fighting game-esque special attacks.

That's pretty rad actually, if the format allowed for it, I'd love to go into things like that when we play these types of games, there's typically some sort of hidden gem that you don't normally know about. Like in The Simpsons Arcade, how you can do attacks with other characters by standing next to each other. I did actually learn while trying to find anything about this game, there is a bootleg version called "Thunder Heroes" which I actually found the other day by accident, it let's you play as one of the kimono wearing girls that you fight near the beginning of the first level. I also found out there's a Hard Head bootleg called "Popper". . . We will never escape Hard Head.

Yeah. I meant the one with Nick Fury as the second player. There was another Punisher arcade game? Huh. I didn't know there was another arcade one. And the google search only indicates the one I'm thinking of on the first few pages.

Hell, not even in a well-lit alley. They probably have at least one disease, if not more.

Oh hell, I can't believe it's taken me this long to notice this thread. And you've already done Growl and Trio the Punch! A few 2-player recommendations: Wild West Cowboys of M.O.O. Mesa (Awesome Konami run & gun, based on a short-lived cartoon I have never seen. Would be a great follow-up to Sunset Riders, if you play that.) Snow Bros. 2: With New Elves Blue's Journey Art of FIghting 3: The Path of the Warrior (still maybe the prettiest fighting game ever made)

Man, I'm always worried that we're gonna run out of games, then I just looked at the master list, and god drat. We're up to like 76 games on the list right now. I would reveal the list of games we have on there, but I like the idea of things being a surprise. Rollersnake posted:Oh hell, I can't believe it's taken me this long to notice this thread. I'm kind of sad that you didn't get to see some of the really wild poo poo that comes up near the end of the game, but you gave it the old college try and that's all I could really ask for. The next time you're in the mood to record a beat-em-up, give Denjin Makai 2, a.k.a. Guardians a try. It's arguably even weirder than Gaia Crusaders. I know you guys probably won't get around to playing it any time soon what with the size of your backlog, but I'll be happy to see you try it all the same. Just caught up with the thread, made for a good time waster while I was sick. I have a few requests of my own to put out: Rhythm Tengoku: A Sega-developed japan only arcade remake of the Nintendo GBA game of the same name. Given that it's a "recent" title (2007), I'm not sure if it's easily emulated. Ganbare Ginkun: A japan only 2 player Tecmo game that served as the inspiration of a hidden monster in Monster Rancher. I believe each difficulty has a different "story", but since it's all in japanese it's a moot point outside of the illustrations. Arm Wrestling: A spiritual Successor to the original Arcade Punch-Outs. Heck, maybe do those 2 (Punch Out and Super Punch Out) as well. and In case you wanted to know how to pronounce my name: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KrAzpI4HsA (a little after 1:45 in)
