laptop update: satya didn't give me the ol' spicy laptop, it had gone to sleep at some point during the night without draining the battery completely (it was maybe at 75% or so)

it just didn't sleep when i closed the lid

it also didn't sleep when i opened the lid, selected "sleep" from the start menu and closed the lid

i know because it kept making bleep bloop noises when i updated files in my dropbox folder.

As best I can tell, it was introduced with the "Windows Update for Business" stuff, but I can't find exactly when that happened. I know it definitely wasn't present on release day, and at least wasn't present on my machine for the first month-ish while I was fighting with the constant updating rebooting my computer.
