Now since I've been playing practically since beta I never received a warning email from PWE, because let's be frank, everyone is cursing in online games all the time. STO is furthermore filled with trolls/griefers, exploiters, glitchers, leechers, worse insulters and even hackers and other more malicious people of the worst kind that roam freely and unchecked, and of whom some of them I actually know the handle names (they've been around for years). Switched to EU server (was set to US). Login 2 timeout error. Switched back to US server for patching and gameplay. Some minor rubber banding. 11 Mar 5:12 - "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out" 14 Mar 5:26AM - SNR, at login, "Connection to the login server timed out" (auto-disabled proxy then worked) 19 March Login 2 timeout error 19 March Optus Speedtest page not loading, timeout errors, google OK "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out" - STO server status is up Made call to check with ISP on connectivity issues Long delays to craft items, had to quit as crafting item could not activate when pressing button "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out" 23 March "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out" repeated, no login possible STO is better than ever.

In the end people will probably wind up tweaking builds based around the unlocks, but as I said, very little is going to change, and it seems unlikely people will be spending their "points" in radically different directions as the basic bones of the system seem to be the same as they have always been. Unless they have changed it (I admit it's been a while) there is a level-up console on Drozona on Tribble, if your curious about the new system make a newbie, fly to Drozona, level it up and see it yourself. It doesn't take that long to do honestly, and I'm surprised more people haven't. Most of the panic I've seen has come from people who for whatever reason haven't even looked at it on the test server, even briefly. Odd since Cryptic went out of their way to make it so people could easily level up toons to check it out. I hope this helps.

My thread was closed before providing any real amusement, and as a result... I'm still bored. So I've filed a Grievance with Jan and then at her suggestion, Trendy (pictured is notepad copy) in an attempt to further alleviate my boredom.  In unrelated news, Cryptic hosed up on tribble again and accidentally leaked an upcoming event ship in the reclaim store, the "Vorgon Xyfius heavy escort". Also the third console appeared on the Ferengi ship console set (but it only has a 2p bonus), so in case anyone wasn't already aware of the impending T6 D'kora uh there you go.

When enough spergs stop buying the drat things, or they run out of boats to redo. So a year or two?  It's gotten kind of hilarious. I guess it was sort of inevitable, but at least it felt like less of a transparent ripoff when every release wasn't a direct literal rehash. Maybe if there was a discount for owning the original version or something, but Cryptic.

I like the spaceship that looks like it could be an F-Zero car. I wanna just drive a space car around space zipping around. I haven't played this game in months, and every time I get tempted to, more poo poo is said here that convinces me to stop reinstalling. Talk more about the horrible gear treadmill, and how I will never be relevant starting from scratch. Talk more about ground content. I just liked flying ships and shooting colors at things while firing at will.
