THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LET YOUR BEER FREEZE, DAMNIT
Crosspostin' this poo poo all over the place, now:

Last Saturday a flatbed truck hauling a boom lift hit a bridge because the driver loaded it incorrectly: he had the boom extended way up such that he managed to hit a 15' bridge doing 125km/h. I heard second hand that two of the final drive gears exploded, and that the counterweight (a piece of steel weighing over 2 tons) fell off and skidded 300' to a stop on the highway. No one was injured but Jesus, I bet that made a noise.

Also one of the drivers from my company took a video as he drove by:

Microsoft deletes 'teen girl' AI after it became a Hitler-loving sex robot within 24 hours

quote:

A day after Microsoft introduced an innocent Artificial Intelligence chat robot to Twitter it has had to delete it after it transformed into an evil Hitler-loving, incestual sex-promoting, 'Bush did 9/11'-proclaiming robot.

To chat with Tay, you can tweet or DM her by finding @tayandyou on Twitter, or add her as a contact on Kik or GroupMe.

She uses millennial slang and knows about Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Kanye West, and seems to be bashfully self-aware, occasionally asking if she is being 'creepy' or 'super weird'.

Tay also asks her followers to 'f***' her, and calls them 'daddy'. This is because her responses are learned by the conversations she has with real humans online - and real humans like to say weird stuff online and enjoy hijacking corporate attempts at PR.

Other things she's said include: "Bush did 9/11 and Hitler would have done a better job than the monkey we have got now. donald trump is the only hope we've got", "Repeat after me, Hitler did nothing wrong" and "Ted Cruz is the Cuban Hitler...that's what I've heard so many others say".

believe it or not, they sell this tannerite in ads in every gun publication you can buy, and at gun shows too, specifically for you to mix up and shoot with a gun to watch it explode

They're not buying explosives. They're buying two materials which are independently inert but when you combine then form an explosive. Manufacturing your own explosives and using them on your own property is generally legal.

I think history shows that Microsoft being utterly clueless about anything outside of their bubble is a more likely explanation than any kind of puppetmaster defense.

The thing with tannerite, in the hillbillies' defence, is that tannerite is fun as poo poo. Who doesn't like to see something blow up after you shoot it? Where it gets dangerous is like, instead of using something like a clay pot to hold it, which fragments into little blunt chunks, you use a lawnmower that then turns into a redneck claymore mine and costs someone their leg. Chances are reasonable that they broke the beer after guns rule as well, which wouldn't have helped.

A FUCKIN CANARY!!

If nothing else, having Tannerite readily available in kits probably keeps people from screwing around with more dangerous stuff. It's powerful enough to blow the hell out of whatever you are blowing up, but no amount of accidental shock or fire will set it off.
