When it comes to crazy stunts it often boils down to pure dumb luck on how it turns out and whether the inevitable youtube video gets posted to the schadenfreude thread or the badass thread. Well, I guess the LA Beast videos would be an exception because there was absolutely no way most of them were ever going to have a happy ending.

If I didn't know this idiot lost his leg, than I would think he probably broke his nose or got cut up by flying debris. Considering what really happened, it's not as horrific as I would think. Phanatic posted:Jesus Christ, when I read "lawnmower" I though a little push mower, not a full-sized riding mower. What an idiot. The part that got me laughing was his Call of Duty get-up and his little lovely range with crappy paper targets on trees alongside a little forested path. I'm convinced that he has done nothing to really stop the bullets that miss the mark and they end up going into other properties and he doesn't give a single gently caress. Which makes the idea of him blowing up a whole riding mower and losing a leg that much less surprising. Basically, this military fetishist lost his leg in a war with his own backyard and will probably spin it off as something badass instead of incredibly pathetic and lazily dangerous. chitoryu12 posted:My favorite part is how she occasionally makes forays into introspection and then slips right away from that. Part of me wants to read this whole article as an unreliable narrative where there is no tattoo, but that her son has a girlfriend and possibly has lost his virginity and his mom simply can't handle the rejection and uses something comparably minor to focus her rage and rejection upon so she doesn't break a taboo. Switch the mother and son to a father and daughter and all of that bizarreness really comes to the forefront, with a special attention given to how Insane Mom fetishizes her son's body and seems to think she owns him and that this results in him forever being tied to him in some bizarre power struggle. I pity her other children, because the oldest becoming his own person is going to make her smother the other ones even more.

Phanatic posted:"Inciting racial hatred." Free speech isn't really a thing that exists in the UK. Well, it's a thing, but it's not as much of a quote-unquote absolute right as in the States. After WWII a lot of Europe got a bit more twitchy about these things. In the past, US demagogues have been barred from entering the UK based on these sort of charges, including most notably the Phelps family.

You can look up all sorts of injuries if you really want to, but generally traumatic injuries have much less blood and brain spray than movies would suggest. Stuff like dismemberment or contact shots to the head with a 12 gauge are still incredibly messy, but Hollywood would have you think that blood sprays out a dude's back when he gets shot in the chest with a 9mm and decapitations cause fountains of blood to shoot to the ceiling.
