We used to do that mentoring thing waaaaaay back in the day for each player. I don't know how well that went over.

I know for a few games, players were assigned one of the new people. The new person could ask advice of their mentor about the game, if they wanted. Maybe it wasn't a good idea in the end, but we definitely did it.
