By the way I guess that allow guns at the RNC online petition has gotten up to six billion signatures or whatever but that makes me wonder again, has there been any good scholarly work on online petitions and whether they mean anything at all, either in terms of their effect on anyone or whether people who sign them are serious or just in it for the lulz?
