So Goonfleet is The Imperium now? I played EvE at release and was a member of some pirate corp called MOO, I think. One of our leaders ran a ponzi scheme on the outside playerbase and then the corp disintegrated. I ended up joining early Goonswarm when it was ran by that guy who embezzled real money from Goons. At the time I put my spreadsheets to bed I was heavily invested as an Arazu/Pilgrim pilot for their ability at solo-piracy, but I think that was on its way out as I left. I have three questions. 1. Is solo piracy viable and is it still all about them recons? 2. Would Goonswarm or the Imperium socialist me some recon ships if I re-subbed? 3. Is this game fun?

You can find some solo funtimes farting around in faction warfare space, but it's not super viable and you'll probably have more luck with small gang shenanigans 2) probably not, but it's ridiculously easy to make money, and once you have the ships you'll never not have them because our SRP is loving fantastic 3)

DBRB also has a habit of getting unexpected capital kills. It's kind of random, though: he'll say he wants to do a short roam and you end up bumping a carrier out of some POS in the middle of nowhere, or you'll be told of green fields full of hull-tanked dreads with no subcap support only to find yourself shooting POS mods.
