Wait was this "ninjas must dig a hole in NYC" thing not in the comics or anything?

Last time The Hand dug a hole in NYC Matt ended up getting possessed by The Beast which is the mythical demon/god The Hand serve. They could also be tunneling into K'un-L'un somewhere the mystical veil is thin depending on how the defenders shapes up.

The Beast seems like it'd be a big enough deal for Defenders

I didn't say I wanted it, just that'd it make sense I much rather it be Kingpin, which makes as much sense

I just assumed they were digging up that big old urn that apparently revives people somehow.

Honestly I don't know how much we really know about the hierarchy of The Chaste. I just re-watched the end of S1 Stick's episode, and the cuts on Stone's back look a lot like the cuts Matt endured in this season. Maybe Stone was recooperating from injuries and that's why Stick is doing all the legwork. Maybe Stone is top poo poo and Stick is his bitch. Maybe Stick just doesn't trust anyone else except himself for the job to be done and done right. I was kind of shocked we didn't see Stone in this season, but they're clearly continuing the Hand storyline in either S3 or Defenders.

That was the most cringeworthy scene. Made even worse by the fact it was literally the last shot of the episode. Both the happiness at seeing her walk again and the sadness of them breaking up are cut so abrupt you have no idea what just happened.

No but we did need an argument for "So if it's that easy for Barry to time travel, why doesn't he just do it all the time?"

zoux posted:No but we did need an argument for "So if it's that easy for Barry to time travel, why doesn't he just do it all the time?" Yeah I don't know, he already let his mom die for the sake of the time, "because it'll gently caress everything up" is more satisfying to me than "tonally out of place deus ex machina". Ultimately I can't be mad solely for the potential of more Pied Piper

I found it amusing that Barry has been repeatedly warned not to gently caress with time, has seen how it can go poorly, was warned AGAIN about loving up the time line, and then immediately started loving with it the first chance he got.

Flash this week had Barry doing the stupidest poo poo ever and Arrow this week was so stupidly comic-booky that it was borderline amazing. Seriously watching Mr. Terrific do gymnastics to avoid a bee in a large room was so idiotic that it looped around to awesomeness. Also a bee man made out of bees and the villain of the week just throwing out cringe worthy bee puns every few seconds made it worth it. It felt like the writers of Flash and Arrow exchanged duties for a week.

Barry doing the stupidest poo poo ever is basically his default mode. It's one of a several reasons I stopped watching the show so it's good to hear I made a good decision.

I don't think I mind characters being stupid if it's at least entertaining. Barry's time travel bloopers gave rise to some of the greatest hits on this show.
