In any other kind of alcohol, you have distinct tastes. Whiskey, wine, rum, etc are all affected by the ingredients and by the barrels they are aged in. Vodka, however, is supposed to have no such distinctive tastes other than alcohol. It simply tastes, and smells, like ethanol.

Rum only if it isn't spiced rum, good vodka, good whiskey but above all else, a nice scotch. Dr Pepper is the king of soda.

The only soda I drink with any regularity is Diet Dr. Pepper, and most regular sodas seem syrupy and gross to me now. But if I were going to have a regular one, I'd have a fantastic RC Cola.

Rum is good for summer time day drinking. I love a nice mojito on a hot sunny day. Tequlla gets me too stupid though for some reason

Yeah I can't drink non-diet sodas anymore, and even some diet sodas are way too sweet after I stopped drinking as much soda (example: root beer). These days if I have a choice in the matter my preferred soda would be sprite zero, or diet coke  pepsi is bad though

I've tried Sparkling Ice, La Croix, several house brands. I've never liked sparkling water or seltzer or any of that flavored water stuff. I'd rather just have water. I don't know if it's the carbonation or just the fact that the flavoring has to be so strong to overcome a watery taste, but I've never cared for it.
