34.6 was the best time in last years FP2, but it may have taken placer later and therefore been on a cooler track? Still, seems like a good improvement - maybe the cars will actually become a physical challenge to drive a GP distance like they used to be.

people in the media seem to think alonso is on his way out but there's really no indication of that. he's quite clearly still focused and dedicated and loves racing. obviously 2015 sucked but you don't do poo poo like go play around on the podium if you're not finding ways to enjoy yourself. prost won his last title at 38, schumacher won his last at 35 and was still in great form when he retired two years later, and you can argue alonso is a better athlete than either of those two. dude still has plenty of time.
