They ever release a sourcebook on Lothal?

It's in the new F&D locales book.

Rebels stuff has been trickling in here and there in several sourcebooks. Lothal, as mentioned, gets a segment in Nexus of Power, and the Ghost got statted out recently too. There's also a Rebels-centric fan supplement that's pretty good, if you're in to that sort of thing.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to houserule the "You can't do any fancy piloting tricks if your ship is bigger than the Falcon" thing instead.

The VCX-100 is bigger than the Falcon. Doesn't stop Hera. Edit: think I misread what you meant... Galaga Galaxian fucked around with this message at 19:34 on Apr 4, 2016 |

If we get heavily into starship combat, I'll do the same, or at most require a hardpoint be spent on maneuvering engines or something. On the other hand, while she does get some surprising maneuvers out of the Ghost, the real spectacular flying is reserved for her time in the Phantom or a fighter. Maybe just houserule the Ghost as effectively SIl4 for maneuvering purposes -- that and it's stealth/transponder spoofing tricks seem like a fair use of 5 hardpoints.

While Hera is a great pilot, the Ghost doesn't really do any fancy flying, even with her at the wheel. In the tv show the Ghost acts more like a blockade runner and gun platform. It's not as nimble as the Falcon, neither in design nor example.

Covok posted:What is the best way to run this as a PBP? There are some examples in the game room, or at least the archives. The main comment I have is keep the group really small and, more importantly, together. I played in a PBP game with a lot of players and it started out fun, but it quickly got way to confusing keeping track of who knew what, because we weren't all in the same place at the same time. Also very little happened because it was so slow waiting on everyone to post. Then the GM got burned out. So the main rule should be the team has to stay together and hopefully make major decisions together. Majority rule is fine, but once the decision is made, it is made for the entire group (no lone wolves or cliques). This is normally the way table top RPGs are supposed to work, but on the Internet there are a lot of special snowflakes for some reason.

Things have settled. May start running random one shots via Roll20 on Sundays that alternate with my existing (loving awesome) game. These would be the random movie-style adventures where you'd start with moderate stats and decent stuff, with the focus being on the storyline and your actions determining the outcome. Maybe each one could be finished in one session, though I doubt it. Each one would recruit separately and just be a few sessions, almost assuredly a series of Sunday mornings/afternoons (EST). Figured I'd post in here first while I get stuff setup, will have to check my call schedule but more than likely will aim to start next month (May) with the first adventure. These wouldn't convert into long campaigns, no matter how great the story turns out or how cool the characters are. Might allow recurring characters across stories, like maybe they're all in universe, but not really planning around that, at all. Same goes for sequels to stories that might end up with loose ends (the bad guy escapes, war is not averted, whatever). I know people were interested in this like a year ago, but things can change a lot in a year. Any takers?

I'd definately be up for Sunday oneshots if it's happening when my regular game is off.

Hey there, just after some info for an upcoming SWRPG game I'll be GMing (first time GMing too, so hopefully it doesn't go too badly..) and by popular demand it'll be taking place just before and during the period after the battle of Endor, where the Empire is fragmenting and the Grand Moffs/warlords are all staking their claim and warring with one another for more power (while from memory Isaard is trying to keep things together? I don't recall - I don't really have a lot of EU knowledge, for better or for worse). However, one of the missions I'm planning for the team to go on (as they'll be a fairly autonomous Imperial team who may wind up hooking up with one of the warlords, after the first smallish 'arc') is to recover some Republic-era capital ships that have been abandoned for one reason or another - seeing as this particular warlord has taken a pounding recently, and is in need of more ships. Although the problem is, I'm not certain as to what the scenario surrounding these ships (doesn't have to be many; maybe like a Venator or similar, and an escort vessel or two) should be. I was thinking that maybe they landed on a planet to avoid detection and destruction by a superior CIS force, (although not necessarily - they could be adrift/in orbit or something) but weren't able to leave again due to either missing parts or (more likely/interestingly) beasts native to the planet came in via one of the hangers/hull breaches and tore everyone apart. Perhaps also have another Moff/warlord's team get the information as well and arrive a little later too, for some three-way shenanigans. Although the problem is, I've got no idea what kind of creatures I should be using here, if I take that route. Especially ones that can kill an entire crew (or at least send them running into the jungle/forest/desert/whatever to die there) and yet not be a total death-sentence for a three-man team. Are there any existing EU (or perhaps player-created) scenarios that are similar to this, that I could borrow some details from to help tie it together? Thanks for any and all information! An easy solution is that they were transporting biological weapons in the ship, something broke its containment, everybody died. Without a host creature, the bioweapon also died (so, like, bacteria or parasite, not virus). You can also do a straightforward life support systems failure thing and have the ship adrift. If you really want a creature, Beyond the Rim (EotE adventure module) has a related plot and features fights against augmented cyber-nexu...augmented by the remnants of the CIS crew of the treasure ship that crashed.

And I'll check out the 'Beyond the Rim' plot as well, in case that has some other useful details. Thanks

Make it a clone-trooper specific virus. The reason the First Order raises its stormtroopers from a young age instead of using Clones is to get similar quality troops without vulnerabilities to such highly targeted bio weapons.

That's another good idea - perhaps an accelerant for the compound/whatever-it-is that causes the clones to age twice as fast? (I'm pretty sure that's mentioned in Ep2, so they can be trained and deployed more rapidly) Leaving a lot of dead old people in its wake, (aside from maybe a couple of support/advisory personnel who weren't clones or something) who all aged 60 years in days or something. Just an idea, at this stage. I'll definitely need to give that some more thought, too... And yeah, I think I'll have to start going back through the list of creepy-ship horror movies that I've seen, ShineDog - certainly can't hurt by getting some pointers from those.

Could be cool too if the virus only targeted the clone troopers aboard the ships, but left their non-clone officers (the Republic Navy had quite a few of those) alive. In the intervening 25-30 years or so since the conflict, they could have come to terms with being stranded and started a little community or something. But having them all killed by some mysterious creatures (maybe dark-side ones to make it cooler?) would be cool too and add an air of survival horror to the whole thing. Maybe there was a terentatek loose on the planet that killed them all and the players have to either play some kind of Alien-style cat-and-mouse game with it, or outright kill it before they can take the ships.

That's another good idea - I'm always after monster suggestions! I might even combine the two; have a group of non-clone survivors learning to live off the land, etc. (so close yet so far, from the communications equipment that's on the Venator - perhaps others tried to reach it but were killed) while trying to keep out of the way of the large Terentatek(s) or other beast (if it is a Terentatek or some other 'force-sensitive hunter' creature, perhaps there was a young/inexperienced Jedi aboard which attracted it/them, and after they killed the Jedi they effectively took up residence on and around the ship, as their new territory) to avoid certain death. Could potentially be interesting - I'd have to work out how they'd react to armed people arriving out of the blue (some relieved? Others in denial or thinking they're hallucinating or something? I dunno), since they'll effectively be "the tribe of a thousand yard stares", after what they've all been through!

A flesh disease that only targeted clone troopers. Fueled by dark sith alchemy, the melted corpses of the troopers have fused together into a new, meaty clone army. Anyone who is touched by a meat clone becomes one as their genetic structure is rewritten. How do you find out if your teammate is actually a big jango? Have the PCs unleashed jangothing upon the galaxy? Just do all the plots at once.
